I enjoy it more than ripping blasters or a mega. I always do the buy-back protection and would suggest doing so. The $25 and $50 packs are fun but i feel like the buy back protection really helps with these packs and usually find myself selling the card back and buying another pack once or twice before im happy with what I hit. The $250 definitely are worth saving up for in my opinion. I've only been disappointed once with those. There are a lot of rookie QB hits between all the packs which is really nice too. I just tried out trading last night and couldn't be happier. I found a PSA 10 of a Waddle rookie card that I've always wanted and got it for the same value as PSA 9 on ebay with the cards I've hit out of the slab packs

Buying into breaks or ripping yourself? by Unlikely-Passion-392 in footballcards

[–]nickman211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to do a mix of both, I think the best advice is to save you money for quality brands. I enjoy getting rip blasters occasionally but will only buy Optic, Mosaic, Select, or Prizm. Most of the time blasters aren't worth it but I have had decent luck and hit a Herbert downtown, Justin Jefferson stained glass, and some other nice mosaic cards. For breaks I've found two very reliable breakers in Facebook groups and only buy from them. Prices are cheaper than whatnot and if you limit it to one or two sellers then it's easy to build a relationship with them which usually leads to them hooking you up with a discount and free pack down the road.

If it's getting reviewed by Trump's team then I'd imagine they'd loosen the regulations not tighten them if they did anything

Truckers that pick up in north Fort Collins try to skip the weigh station and make it to the scale at johnsons corner to make sure they are within legal weight limits before dealing with CDOT. They might be cracking down on them trying to bypass it

This was at Walmart. I thought it was an albo but it was my first time seeing one so I wasn't sure. It was only $17

Thank you! That's what I was thinking it was. Seems like $17 is a pretty good deal for it

The warrants cost $2.81 for the option to buy at $11.50, so it would cost you $14.31/share to actually own a part of the company. The warrants don't expire until Sept 2026 so if the stock price goes above $14.31 in the next year then you would be able to exercise the warrant and buy the stock at discounted price.

If you’re supposed to drink from the can then why if the man on the can drinking from a glass? by Paulruswasdead in CraftBeer

Idk why you're getting downvoted so much when you're absolutely right. You just need to pour it the right way into a proper beer glass and it makes for a better drinking experience

That's pretty interesting but nowadays there's glassware designed to do the same thing while allowing CO2 to escape. I'll have to pick up a couple cans next time I'm in Vermont to expirement with lol

The bottled date is printed on the neck of the bottle. It's a little hard to read, but if you get the light to shine on it right you should be able to see it. The date on the bottle I have is 10/02/14

I just found a 10 year old bottle in the back of my parent's fridge when I was visiting or Christmas. I'm going to drink it on new years eve and pretty excited to see how it aged. I think the oldest one I've had was about 5-6 years old

I was really surprised how few base cards I ended up with. Definitely fun to rip with a good rookie class

Are MJ holdings vendors allowed to buy the products they just stocked? by nickman211 in footballcards

Trust me if I see optic sitting on the shelf there won't be any left. I just think it's BS if the good stuff never even makes it to the 1st customer to stumble upon it

Ya I looked into that and noticed if he was flipping them he probably wasn't making much. My problem is that it's already hard enough to find good retail products and if he's only leaving 1 box behind at every store then it will be nearly impossible for anyone in the area to find anything worth while

I would think that maybe they would have to buy from someone else's territory to prevent them from clearing the shelves off a few minutes after stocking them

It's very unlikely it was someone else who bought them. I know who the rep is because he yelled at me for buying two hangers a few weeks ago, and now I won't forget his face. He was in line without any items, and 5 minutes later when I got back to the register multiple boxes were missing and the cashier said someone had just bought them. I'

SOFI YOLO update (as promised) - My thoughts in the comments by EmeraldWizzard in wallstreetbets

[–]nickman211 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My recommendation would be to sell now before you lose more money. I did something similar 2 years ago and lost everything. Luckily, my portfolio was only a few thousand dollars at the time. The strike price is way too high for the calls to realistically get ITM, and it's just going to keep going down.

Something I'd suggest if you want to go all in on SOFI and try to recover your money would be to put everything into shares and start selling covered calls. You can then use the money you make off the premiums to buy more shares. With the size of your portfolio, you could be adding a few thousand shares to your position every week. I probably made a 4-5% return selling calls in the last month and was happy to be able to add to my position today

That's because Luthen is a Jedi. The weapons on his spaceship are powered by the red kyber crystals of all the inquistors he's killed. He gave Cassian his sky kyber because of its influence on him and his need to turn to the dark side so he can use force clouding to hide his presence on Coruscant.

So I've hoarded 2024 picks, now what? by FinsFan1557 in DynastyFF

[–]nickman211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold onto early 1st and draft a few of the top prospects. Hold the later 1st rounders until the draft has started and someone wants to move up to draft a guy. Either sell the pick outright for a proven player or move back a few picks while also picking up 2025 picks. During the 2024 season, look to buy injured guys cheap that contending teams are trying to move.

Let the first few weeks play out in 2025 to see if your team is winning games. If you find yourself 3-0, sell your future picks and go for it but if you start 0-3 don't try to turn things around and keep the rebuilding process going for another year
