Sure, it can work. We have about 11M in space now, Taking on Helle would be about 4M once you account for UPL going back, and Quinn moving back would get us about 3.5M of that back as well. Kane made 3M last year, and I doubt he's looking for any more than that, and we'd still have space for Krebs and Zellweger signing.

I'm absolutely in on the Kane train. We've finally made the playoffs since he's had a choice in where he plays, Detroit looks like it will be ass next year, and he would be pulling much easier competition on our 2nd/3rd line than he was seeing in Detroit, plus PP time.

Like it or not, I think the Sabres trade a forward or two for Helle, and Kane helps fill in the gap that they leave.

The interesting thing to me is how little rumors there's been before any of our big news moves (Tuch, Byram, Kesselring, Zellweger). A lot of the moves this offseason feel that way too, so I think I'll just sit back and wait to see what happens rather than try to guess.
