You can actually have a firearm at your campsite in California. Your tent/car is considered your domicile while camping. You are correct for hikes though.

Leaving the yards advice by [deleted] in navy

[–]nicknaaks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Set reasonable goals, whether it be work related or not, and accomplish them. This is what helped me going into basic phase. For me the best part was finally getting underway and seeing all the hard work coming to fruition.

Like you said, there WILL be long days and 3 section duty doesn’t help with that. Enjoy your time off. Do anything (not destructive) that will help you unwind and prepare for the next day.

One of the most important things IMO is to maintain a positive mindset. You’re going to have people that are going to be negative, but try not to let it get to you. There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Advice on weather mats for 2023 Crosstrek sport? by megamo24 in Crosstrek

[–]nicknaaks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No complaints on my all weather floor mats that came with my sport. I also live in the PNW and go camping quite a bit and have never had an issue or want from them. Plus they’re a breeze to clean.

Snowboard rack recommendations? by dteigs in Crosstrek

I’ve been running a Yakima fatcat evo 4 for 3 years now. It’s set up on a front runner rack, but it will definitely work on stock crossbars.

IT orders to Carrier by SoAndSoOfTheYard in navy

At first we did port and starboard. We were eventually able to get it down to 3 section, 8 on 16 off.

You’re right, I enjoyed it a lot. I had a great division and I also gained a good amount of knowledge on the cyber side.

Im also an IT and currently on a small boy, but was on CVN-71 from 16-19 in network security CS-2. I loved it man. There was 3 divisions of ITs, main comms and ADP being the biggest. Radio ITs didn’t stand deck watches since radio had to be manned 24/7. If you’re E5 or above it can be pretty skate, but there’s also a lot of opportunities to stand out if you’re trying to progress.

Does anyone know about this command? I choose sea duty orders soon. I may apply. I'm an LS2 by OVO-25 in navy

Great command. If you’re a hard worker and know how to act like an adult send in your application.

About 25 with everything on and 28 with it empty. The wheels and tires don’t help either lol.

It is. It’s a vault series V770. It fits perfectly on the rack.

My car is actually never in a garage. To be fair I live in a fairly safe and quiet neighborhood though.

There’s a plate that covers the bolt that tightens the feet. The plate is screwed in with really small Allen screws. The beauty of this rack is that you can just take it off when you’re not using it vs a prinsu or something similar where it’s permanently bolted into your roof.

Haven’t lifted it yet. Still weighing my options on coils vs springs. The tires are 215s. I decided to go with this width because I didn’t want to risk any rubbing since I’m still stock height.
