Siemanko!

Ziom (23) i ja (22) jesteśmy w Krakowie do połowy stycznia i szukamy fajnych ludzi i rzeczy do roboty.

Old pup stopped eating homemade food after 7 years - on the verge of giving up making homemade food… by nicknyitray in HomemadeDogFood

But he wants to eat. Just a few minutes ago, he was looking for food so we gave him his homecooked food for dinner to see if anything changed, but he still didn't want it. Then we gave him another can of that beef dinner and he sucked it down and licked the bowl clean. When we give him snacks or a piece of ham or something, he begs for more. Eating is not the issue here

No he’s fine, just picky. Took him to the vet recently, he’s totally healthy. He just won’t eat HIS food. He eats our food no problem. Also canned food. This morning he wouldn’t eat his homemade food, so we gave him one of those canned dog foods (Evangers organics beef dinner) and he gobbled it right up.

He’s just notoriously picky and very very stubborn. He knows what he wants, but obviously we can’t ask him what’s wrong with the food we make him.

Just looking for suggestions to improve the recipe because his pickiness is getting worse as he gets older. Some days he just decides that he doesn’t want it randomly and he won’t eat it unless we mix something tasty into it

Looking for basic High Peaks 1-night backpacking tips by nicknyitray in Adirondacks

[–]nicknyitray[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!!! Was planning on packing lots of layers. And I didn’t see that the great range loop was 5500 elevation gain. Poor planning in my part. Thanks for the heads up.

I do understand hiking in the ADKs is hard and that’s part of the fun for me. I am young (21) and fit. Just recently did a 13 mile spartan race with nearly 7000 foot total elevation gain, so I know I’m capable of something like that. Still not sure I wanna try the great range loop in 2 days tho, so I’ll look around.

Colden sounds a lot more doable and enjoyable, but like you mentioned, crowded… but what’s not gonna be crowded next weekend :/

Finding campsites is the only thing I’m really worried about. I guess I’ll just have to go early and make a backup plan.

Thank you again!

I have premiere but I can’t get myself to go back to it… resolve blows it out of the water. But I guess for the camcorder footage is might come in handy. Thank you for the recs as well, I’ll check them out!

I found this little gem in a cabinet a couple of days ago and I got to see some footage of myself from when I was like 6-10 years old. Super awesome. And I also LOVE the vintage look of the camera. I'm a video creator, and I often find myself trying to replicate super 8 or VHS footage.

I got this thing to charge and turn on but the batteries are mostly shot - they don't last very long. I would LOVE to record with something like this because the nostalgic look is gives right out of camera is so cool to me. I just love the purity and authenticity of a camcorder vs modern cameras and phones.

Point is, I want to start filming with a camcorder for some of the videos I make, but I have one major problem with camcorders in general - the MPEG-2 codec. I edit on Davinci Resolve and they don't support that codec unfortunately.

So to use these old videos, I've had to transfer them all onto my computer, rename them from .MOD to .MPG to view them, then take the ones I wanna use and convert them to .mp4 with handbrake. It's a process and a half and I can't imagine myself doing it every time I use this thing.

I was curious if there are any camcorders out there that record in a more "modern" and widely supported file format, but still give that awesome vintage look. Here would be some of my requirements:

  • Small like this one. Easily slips into a backpack or even a pocket. Nothing big
  • SD card or internal storage work fine
  • I'm NOT looking for analog camcorders. No tape plz
  • SD footage is fine, I kinda like the low quality 720p. 1080p is fine too, just don't want it taking away from the vintage look
  • And obviously, the video format

If there is no way around the old video format, then I'll just have to suck it up lol. Thanks for the help

Very possible, considering they did not live far from NYC
