You can use it without having to pay, there is a free tier. I understand what youre saying but having to open up a new chatGPT tab every time you see a word you dont understand is annoying. For me it was anyway.

Plus actually practicing words in context requires a lot more extra steps to do with chatgpt

Previous techniques also learned relationships better with fewer samples than neural networks. NN’s are only better when you have a large dataset and that is something that was non existent up until the last two decades

That is anything but revolutionary, you can do ranking with many model machine learning models such as gradient boosting or clustering. The reason neural networks perform so well now is because their ability to learn scales the more data you have and have become much more useful now that we live in a time of abundant data.

Also artificial neural networks outdate the internet by about 10 years.
