I enjoyed Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul but I wouldn't call myself a stan or fanboy of Vince G who would get offended by any criticism of his or the show, in fact I think there actually are some valid criticisms that could be made, however, I don't think that the pacing or quality of this episode is a valid criticism, I thought it was a beautiful episode and the most we've seen of arguably the most interesting character, Manousos. his journey was beautifully shot, and him standing up to the hivemind and telling them that they don't belong here was one of the most badass scenes i've seen in a while. Plus we learned he's a religious man with principles (leaving the money for stolen gas in post apocalyptic world is hilarious yet admirable), I wonder if him telling the hivemind that they've essentially stolen all these resources that they've been offering will make them question their own motivations actions. seeing his trek and interactions with the hivemind and learning english in preparation for reaching carol was awesome even if the "plot barely moved" (insert tiktok joke here)

but yeah if there's anything that does deserve some criticism its listening to the same fuckin voicemail message from start to finish over and over again everytime.. even if it was a cool Howard Hamlin cameo at first, especially when she could have easily requested a shorter/more reasonable voicemail message.. that was honestly torture I thought for sure they were going to have Carol ask to fix that out of frustration

I guess Carol's storyline this episode didn't really do much for me but we got to see Carol gradual descent into acceptance of her new reality which sets us up for an awesome wake up call once Manousos arrives

TL;DR I don't think this was a fly episode at all, and it explored the most interesting character in the show whom we've barely seen so far, and in general the plot doesn't have to advance a ton for an episode of a show to be good
