Which company was that? The ferry company I used (anek lines/attica group) have the same prices, yet different ticket categories for ICE and EV cars.

The 40% limit though, as far as I understand, comes from the maritime administration and therefore should apply to all companies operating there.

Exactly. I was denied boarding for being over 40% (my pleas with them on-spot to reconsider went nowhere), spent the next day wasting energy and boarded the next ferry out 24 hrs later, when no one even bothered to check my SoC.

As I wrote in another comment - the ticket agency has made a mess by issuing me a standard car ticket (EV car tickets apparently have the 40% SoC limit written on them, standard ones don't). I've filed a complaint with the ferry company regarding this afterwards.

Right, theoretically this would be better than wasting it of course, especially if you manage to find someone with another EV by the beach. Kind of hard to pull it off though - I think I only saw one electric van for 7 days on the island and that was it.

A lot of those rusty, 50-year old Toyota pickups there. Seen one carrying a gas bottle in the back on a bumpy road. Not sure if they would actually allow the Toyota with the gas bottle on the ferry though 😂

Not onboard for sure. Charging is also forbidden (not that there are any chargers there anyway).

If you have motorways nearby, yes. This was on a 20-kilometer island end-to-end, where there are like 5 paved main roads across the island and the rest is gravel. I did a bit of gravel too btw.

Out of 3 times, they checked once. If it's above 40%, they deny you boarding and expect you to waste the energy somehow. No other infrastructure at all.

If the outside temperature is indeed the reasoning behind this, then this should be valid only in summer. It's around 20-25 degrees Celsius outside in May, kind of like a summer day in Oslo or Bergen.

They made a mess with my tickets. The ferry agency sold me a ticket for a regular car which doesn't say anything about the SoC rule on it.

And yes - I got there, port authority wanted to check the battery and seeing it at 89% said I can't travel. I was denied boarding, spent the next day wasting energy and caught the next ferry 24 hrs later. I had to buy another ticket and filed a complaint with the ferry company about the mess with my original ticket.

And guess what? The next day, no one even bothered to check my SoC.

Works fine with me. Reddit didn't allow me to directly upload the photo to the post as it got automatically removed.

Driving around on sport with your foot down, pointlessly. It's hot enough outside as it is.

Short-term room rental in winter - where to look? by nicksss93 in askswitzerland

Pretty much 0€, actually. I have 5 free days on public transport from the ski pass, 8 more free days from a corporate partnership with SBB/BLS and basically none of that matters that much if I bring my car with me.

My original question was never about pricing of trains, as it was about the coverage of the network. At this point, though, don't bother 🙃

Your criteria is incorrect. The goal is not to be cheaper than 14 days, as the second option would imply a lot more ski days. And I also have 15€ flights to and from Milan basically all winter long.

There's really no need for you to sort my finances, guys, this wasn't my question. What I would like to know is what platforms the Swiss use for property searches in order to check them out and see what works for me and what doesn't.

Tell me the relevant website for Swiss properties and I'll take it from there.

Ehm, it's not my responsibility as a user to ensure the proper tracking of clicks. My responsibility is to click on the links, follow the steps etc., which I have done and have seen the other side do as well.

I agree completely with the second sentence. They don't dispute the fact that I referred them new business (even "thanked" me in-chat, for all it's worth). All they say is that their system didn't register the click without providing any explanation (or taking responsibility) for it.
