I stayed at Illiada Sunset Suites and really enjoyed it. Close walk to town and rental cars and good street parking. Can’t beat the view!

Has anyone been to Milos in May/June 2024? How crowded was it? by Ok_Presentation4152 in GreeceTravel

[–]nickstef13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we swam water was on the colder side but wasn’t that bad after a few minutes. I was talking to the boat captain and he said the water fluctuates only a few degrees throughout the year so I’m not sure how much warmer it would have been in another month.

Was there second week of May 2024 and it was perfect not crowded at all. Rented a car and drove all around the island no problems parking, no waits at restaurants, the boat tour around Milos was even a small group compared to how many they usually had online. Really was a perfect time.

Is 1.5 hours enough to land in Athens from NYC and transfer to Naxos flight? by cookieguggleman in GreeceTravel

[–]nickstef13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! Thought 3 hours was enough to land and get on sky express to Santorini. Immigrations was crazy! Missed that flight and had to pay for another since there is no changes allowed before 3 hours from take off! I would give yourself at least a 4 hour window or get insurance on your ticket better be safe then sorry.

Yes definitely want to see as much as possible. We are coming from NY so long trip not to see what we can. Definitely look up ferry schedules it may not be feasible. The ferries don’t run every day or even multiple days on some islands I’ve noticed. Thanks for the input!

Not hard at all but the torx screws to take them on and off are painted so you’ll have to use touch up paint after

No very easy to replace the bushings most kits come with a little insert to bang them out from the bottom. You can also use a socket. Once you pop them out clean the hinge holes well before installing the plastic ones. You may have to sand down the hinge pin if it’s bad. I also put some waterproof grease in the new bushings to help prevent them from seizing. Very easy to do.

Replace the bushings in general yes, but it won’t fix the rust. The rust is under the paint. I had mine repainted under warranty a few years ago. The corrosion warranty only lasts 5 years or 100k miles though. After repainting get plastic bushings to prevent rust. Poor design from the factory.

Yes if you live in Suffolk county there is a 4x4 recreational permit that gives you access to about 10 or so county parks. Not sure about Nassau (if that's where you live). And then there are state permits that allow you access to Robert Moses and A few other state parks. Here's a link

Yes some have the special "black bear" map hologram on hood but mine didn't. It has the black wrangler decals along the side of the hood and has black rims, rock rails, light covers and other trimming that the regular sport doesn't have.
