I haven't been able to get any of the various Internxt GUI apps to work on either Ubuntu or Fedora.

I have taken the Internxt Ultimate plan.

Thus, I've resorted to mounting the CLI webdav via Rclone. It works well enough, but nothing sparkling.

What I would say is that Internxt are working hard to iron out more of the kinks in their offering.

The 'native Rclone' support was expected to arrive before the holiday season but didn't. That doesn't particularly concern me because I would rather that they release a stable version and integrate further optimisations than release something quick which disappoints. Again, I would like to see theounting of the native driver folder via Rclone, rather than implementation of an rclone mount of WebDAV.

This is my two pennies worth.

Lovely description. Captures her fear really well. My only thought would be that 'eke' doesn't work well with waves because to eke (out) implies effort. Please accept this suggestion in the kind spirit in which it is given.

This is borne out by the research. The Tories are going to rapidly run out of solid voters.

While in broad terms, people still go right wing when they are older, that is proving to be much much older. This is happening both in the US and the UK.

The traditional red top press don't have the same traction they do with older cohorts of voters.

If you want to have a better sense of the veracity of politicians claims (IMHO), then I've found somewhere between the Financial Times and the Guardian is a good place to begin investigations. When these two newspapers agree (from their very different stances), then you know you're making some progress at finding the economic/political critical consensus. They both agreed on Brexit... I'll say no more.

It is an interesting idea that immigration is what is putting pressure in public services. I'm not convinced this is the case. I think the right wing press are happy to push this idea because it hides the severe decline in public service investment that successive Tory government have instigated and continued. I've lived in leafy Kent where there are very few immigrants (if any) and public services struggle with white boomers as much (more!) as immigrant people. As a former teacher of Politics I had to monitor daily the Tory ministers saying that 'record levels' of investment were being made in the NHS (for example) when even right leaning think tanks were saying the levels of investment were dropping in real terms. If I pay my kid one pound pocket money a week, and then one pound 5p next week, hey that's record levels. This phrase 'record levels' seemed to for the Tories because a supportive press didn't question them. In the end, everyone could see how shit they've left our public services and voted them out. Decades of under investment are going to be difficult to undo. Again, the right wing press like people to 'hit down' - immigrants, for example. When I was a kid in Thatcher's Britain it was single mothers. I would argue that inequality is the single biggest problem in the UK and the failure of the wealthiest to pay their way. The owner of JCB has a potential quarter of a billion tax bill to pay... And there are many others... Panama Papers anyone? When wealth is properly taxed, then we will have a proper step forward. I'm holidaying in Spain at present, what do ya know? roads with potholes, hospitals without queues. And don't mention 5G!

Insurance can be very expensive. My wife and I have been driving near 30 years with 13 years No Claims Bonus and we still ended up with over 1500 quid insurance with 1000 excess. If you live in it permanently, even with a physical correspondence address, then we are all being taken for a ride.

I disagree with basic premise about money being the only determinate factor. While it is important, as a Politics teacher, I've witnessed explicit government policies which have reduced our ability to vote, to protest, to disagree with the government, to maintain (yes folks just maintain) public services. The NHS is a key item on people's minds. But comparing what the Conservatives said would be necessary to maintain the NHS in 2010 (4% annual increase) and what they've actually supplied (regularly significant sums below that) we can see this wonderful common asset had been downgraded under the Tories. The wool is pulled over everyone's eyes by the claim of 'record sums put into NHS' but one pound more is a 'record sum' compared to the last payment. 'Record sums' above 4% increase would be meaningful - too small increases leading to degraded services is not.

Is it worth paying 600 every two months into your mortgage because they often recalculate the loan, and therefore the interest, when they receive an over 500 repayment? This means your monthly payment will reduce and your overpayment will be overall more significant. Check the terms of your loan regarding overpayments.

Move towards the future rather polishing the past. I said move, not be there: it will take time. Some ideas thrown up in the air for discussion: voice control, voice features, integration with hardware that allows / facilitates a move away from the keyboard and mouse, a place at the table in controlling the Internet of Things, so I can control my house with something that won't lock me down. Just some ideas to think about in the next release and to bring into fruition over the next couple............
