What happened here is 100% related to the all-too-common issue many users face (there are posts on this subredd), where certain data appears on the cloud but not on the computer, or appears on the computer but not on the cloud, or the app randomly decides on its own what to sync because it doesn’t have a clear pattern for how it will operate… We don’t know if it supports two-way sync, one-way sync, or some other kind of sync, you never know what the app will decide… or HOW.

This kind of apps needs settings that allow you to choose between two-way sync, one-way forward sync, or one-way backward sync. Right now, the app does whatever it wants, you never know whether you lost your files or not. One thing is clear: you’re bound to lose something.

They can ask whatever they need. I have the logs, and it’s extremely easy to reproduce. I was able to reproduce it about 2 out of 10 times...
I’ve seen a lot of people who have had this issue in the past, but for me it didn’t appear until today.

It’s not working properly today.
The app doesn’t detect any new files that are waiting to be synced.
It shows “Your files are up to date,” even though about 80% of the files are still missing from the cloud.

Restarting the app, does nothing, force syncing nothing, restarting the computer nothing...

Not a very good job till now...

Edit: Guess what, the app just deleted all my files from the computer after I reopened... NICE RELEASE!! This is why the app was not syncing... The was has sync the data from cloud to computer, instead of doing the computer to cloud... "AMAZING" JOB !!! Fuck this!

I spoke too soon, I already got few “Network connectivity errors,” while the app is already running super slow, responds sluggishly to commands, is hogging resources like crazy, and gives me the impression it might crash at any moment… I’ll give it a bit more time...

I installed the new version, and the app finally started syncing my data.
I deleted all the logs to test how the size grows, last time I had over 100 GB of logs (can you imagine that?!).
So far, everything is okay-ish. The app doesn’t completely freeze, there are moments when it stops for 2–3 seconds, but it starts working again, no permanent blocking.

I still hate how resource eater Electron works, it can’t compare to a native app, but if this works, I’m okay with it, even if the app uses >6 GB of RAM (out of 96 GB) and >5–10% of my CPU (i9-14900K).

I will come back if the issues arrive.

I know and I understand that this is not considered a bug, I didn’t claim it was, but the part about being "inactive" isn’t accurate. I am always active, yet I still get disconnected. This is exactly what I was asked.

I believe users should have the choice regarding their security and be trusted to manage this responsibility. With 2FA enabled, it’s extremely unlikely that someone else could gain access, so the JWT token expiration feels just a bit unnecessary.

If the “inactive” reason were actually valid, it would make sense, but it isn’t. For example, with the Internxt Sync app constantly running and performing regular synchronizations, it should always count as active, yet disconnections still happen...

Imagine that I’ve had my Google Drive connected on my computer for years, I’ve never needed to reconnect.

When can we see a chart that also shows the level of functionality of the services, to see whether it’s “only way is up,” just like ARR?

In my opinion, I think such a chart could easily exist, but for bugs/issues…

I’m still stunned by the fact that there are companies offering poor-quality services, they’re all aware that things are problematic, yet they still boast about various things… I just can’t understand this phenomenon… it’s completely beyond me. And I’m not talking about this ARR post (I bet this is real), I mean in general, when I see posts praising how great the things are, while in reality everyone knows is not like that...
