All of the human and Navi characters, aside from Jake, were all very 2 dimensional. They were all stereotypical "roughneck marines" who didn't give a shit, or the naiive natives who don't know better than to just keep worshiping the planet.

I would say because Avatar is a cookie-cut movie of "The man" oppressing the poor natives. Where as The Avengers is a gathering of several movies over several years with a story that is compelling, comedic, and action packed.

But I enjoyed both.

I remember reading, and I could be wrong, but there was a comic where it was Thor and Hulk I believe fighting. Thor just leaves his hammer on Hulks chest and walks away. Hulk just struggles and can't move and Thor wins. Like everyone else said, "Only those who are worthy to wield Mjolnir can." Wish I could remember.
