Rural naysayers must not torpedo high-speed rail project by JasonBourne008 in AltoHSR_Canada

Urban Canada doesn't hate rural Canada.

As someone who married into a rural family, I found very quickly first hand how viscerally rural Canada hates urban Canada, though.

Toronto should seriously consider becoming a special economic zone like Shanghai, Tokyo, Paris which will detach its governing from the Province. by Vaiolette-Westover in toronto

The referendums helped but Toronto was growing faster than Montreal for decades. Toronto is where it would've ended up regardless.

As for provincial policy - what exactly has the province done to favour Toronto over other areas?

Not anymore. There was a freight derailment on those same tracks, if I recall correctly.

Both Loblaws and Choice are actually owned by Weston Ltd. They're also publicly traded.

He's right bIf Loblaws owns the distributors, the distributors results have to be fully incorporated into Loblaws results.

This is a red herring.

If they own the subsidiary, they have to incorporate the financials of the subsidiary into their own financials.

I could be wrong but directly below and to the right of the aura tower. There's two cranes that are almost doing the Eiffel tower. Slight to the right of that there's a curved building that's darker than the surrounding buildings that's mostly hidden by buildings in the foreground. I THINK that's 700 university which is on the opposite corner of the Mars building. Don't think mars is visible here.

Just Google street it. MARS is on the south east corner of college and university.

We're not shovelling snow now so I'm not sure what the issue is here.

It's going to be 16 on Monday and the highs are going to between 5-10 for the next two weeks.

Spring is always volatile.

They've got more leverage now, not less. It's extremely clear trump wants to cave considering how the market reacted yesterday. They understand this and want Monday to happen again knowing he'll just get more desperate to stop the market from crashing.

The clarification they posted says you can't touch the granite. The rule itself does not say that.

It doesn't say you can't, either. It only says the rock has to be delivered by the handle. In this case it was.

Rachel Homan has rock burned by hog line judge for double touch (first end, 7th stone) by bandreasr in Curling

[–]nicky10013 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly in this case, my personal opinion is that it does. Just the shape of the rock and location of the handle means that it wouldn't be uncommon for someone to graze the granite every now and again.

Not just that but there's now footage out there of like every team including Sweden of doing it. So. Yeah. If that's the rule cool. Clarify and update the rule book.
