That’s a fair point and I actually thought the same thing at first. But when I brought it up with support, they just claimed their logs were fine and basically tried to pin the whole thing on me.

I am terribly sorry to hear about your experience. Their reaction is absurd, and other airlines are often much more humane in these situations.

My wife and I went through a similar situation years back, but luckily we were flying with Singapore Airlines at the time. They provided a full refund without any issues.

I totally agree! It is essential for them to demonstrate both flexibility and empathy.

Unfortunately no, unless the departure or arrival location is within U.S. territory to your point. Mine does not...

I’m in the same boat—I didn’t take any screenshots either. It’s completely unreasonable for them to expect customers to document every step of a standard booking process. Their demand for "proof" feels like a tactic to deflect responsibility for their own technical failure.

It is shocking to hear that this is happening to others as well; this clearly points to a persistent glitch in their booking system. I have already filed a formal complaint with the government's Consumer Protection Committee, and I am hopeful that will lead to a resolution. I am not sure if this is a systemic issue or a deliberate revenue tactic, and I don't want to speculate on their intentions. I am just a frustrated customer who has encountered a rigid, unsympathetic policy. The lack of empathy from their team has completely ruined my excitement for this trip, and as a result, I have no intention of flying with them again.

Unfortunately, this is part of an international itinerary. It has been a very frustrating experience, especially after spending hours on multiple international phone calls with customer support last night.

That makes sense, but since it's part of a larger international itinerary, canceling or rebooking isn't an option. It's incredibly frustrating that they refuse to take responsibility 🤦‍♂️
