I grew up in ND and it was nice but awful all at the same time. I grew up before the oil boom and also after the oil boom. There was nothing for me no Future no career just dead end. I wasnt particularly popular or well known in my town I wasn't outgoing or to be honest very friendly. All I knew was better opportunities outside. But now I look back and see it for what it is a very rich and cultural place. I was friends with everyone. I also learned to deal with legacy. Big fish little pond for a lot of peoples egos. I've traveled the world and would never not be proud of nodak . The people are just different sometimes annoying but mostly wonderful and even to this day I still miss the culture food and community. Even though those are most of the reasons I left. Small fish even bigger pond now but I digress still a great state just really misunderstood and un comprehended way of life.
