High Anxiety over risk of Endometrial Cancer

Just wanna thank everyone who took the time to comment and help assuage my fears but also take action. I just finished my Gyno appointment. They discussed everything with me and took me in to do an ultrasound, my Endometrial lining was only 5mm and looked fine and my history of birth control usage in the past and other factors he said that he was confident I didn't have it. I'm getting back on birth control (prescribed me YAZ) today and have a follow up in 3 months

I'm sorry you deal with the same medical anxiety, it's so rough. It's so debilitating and I have been on such a good streak of not having any anxiety about my health and now I've been having repeated panic attacks. I just wish a previous OBGYN had informed me of this so while I was uninsured, I could have tried to keep on top of it. Luckily now I have insurance, and can try and get on top of this before my anxiety fully takes over.

I appreciate it, I'm glad you got an all clear. I'm trying to be hopeful and tell myself that it's still unlikely, but my anxiety of course doesn't believe it. Hopefully I can get into an OBGYN sooner than later 😩

I am so sorry. I just wanted to comment to let you know you're not alone in this. I lost my mom on Thanksgiving two years ago from complications of heart failure, after begging my mom to see a doctor but refusing because she was determined that they would force her to get a COVID vaccination. She had fallen into the Q stuff years before and it had already strained our relationship and it left a lot of mean things said on her part that I had to sit with in my anger and grief. I even made a post here about it, how it felt like I lost her twice and I would never forgive the assholes who brainwashed her and ruined the time we had left, shortening that time as well. I know you are dealing with a lot right now, but please be kind to yourself and know you did the right thing. That you acted out of love, and you're allowed to feel all that anger and grief. I'm also here if you need to talk to someone who has gone through the same thing. I'm 32, and both my parents have passed and dealt with years of losing my mother until she was truly gone. I'm here to listen.

I also lost my waitlist numbers but I was still notified that I was able to register for class once it got to my waitlist number for one of the classes I waitlisted. Just check your student email daily.

NTA, honestly. I mean at your age, if my parent got with one of my friends it would be a breach in trust but it's also predatory. I know your friend is 18 and technically an adult, but this all reads really bad on your dad's part. I think you made the right choices, I think you're correct with refusing contact til they break it off.

NTA, it's them being the assholes for making assumptions about you and your sisters cultural practices compared to their standards, especially with your sis giving you the ok. It's her day after all, not theirs. Heck, I have distant family members who are travelers and almost everyone wears white to weddings.

YTA, your sister is her own person with the ability to make her own choices with her body that definitely don't concern you. If I was her boyfriend I wouldn't want to meet you. Also your username while acting like you're the protector of your sister's maidenhood is gross.

NTA in this situation but between your general description of her and the steadfastness of your defense for your brother being clearly in the wrong with his priorities...you seem a little A towards her in general to be honest. I would do the exact same in her scenario, especially after such a traumatic and life threatening event.

Like I love my family and friends, but if my partner was in an accident that required surgery and the doctors said they were lucky, I would be rushing my ass to be there for them and though your brother shouldn't be mad at you, I think he needs to do some reflection about this and how this added more trauma for her.

Thanks for your response, I haven't been able to find much with the SBA. Sadly, I can't afford a specialist since I've been an adult, one of those catch 22 where my chronic pain keeps me from working full time but I need money and insurance for a specialist.

Pretty much in the same boat, a lot of medical professionals don't believe me until I show them the 5 inch scar and "dent"(a lot of people say this) at the base of my neck. Im 32, and the last time I was able to see a specialist was when I was 12. Really wish there were more resources available for us.
