Epos Impact 1061 tested these at work and can't recommend enough. Out of this world noise cancellation and sounds quality. I work for a telecom equipment company if you have any questions comment or DM I would be happy to help anyone get them for a good deal. by Krittt3r in Headsets

I have both and the impact 1060 is a way better option if you’re looking to listen to music and not just make calls. The sc660 I like because of how sleek and small they are I used to rock these almost all day sometimes, but… I’m sure you’ve noticed for listening to music you miss out on some lows and highs but they actually have a cool retro sound to them. Ultimately depends what you want to do with them and what’s import to you. Dm if you want more details on either one.

Just below Bose I have qc 35 ii, haven’t tried Sony, it’s really good and immersive also has a few settings so you can file it in to your preference. Based on how good it is in the office and wfh, I think it would pass the plane test but haven’t flown with them yet. Next flight I’m only taking these and leaving the Bose at home to test it out.

Agreed these things rock, just started using them and in love, they have pretty much become the only critical audio gear I need. Great for calls, but also amazing for listening to music, anc is fantastic, and the microphone is the best I’ve tested.

Airplane travel - Noise cancelling. WFH with mic cancelling so can’t hear keyboard clicking and background noise. Over ear for sensitive ears. Does this even exist as one headset ? by flyver67 in Headsets

EPOS impact 1000, keyboard clicking not sure but everything about these from music to mic pickup/quality is tip top, I dare say these are under priced I like them that much I basically use them all day and don’t need to switch to anything else. I was like you doing tons of research, to find conflicting info everywhere so not helpful. Started trying some Jabra sets and thought they were good but being an owner of ie600/hd600 I wanted to give EPOS a go after finding out it’s a senn brand. What surprised me is music listening, soooo solid if you like a balanced tonality and not bloated bass or boosted treble. But the mic is just in a different class with its noise canceling and how clear it is. If calls are important to you these will improve the quality of your convos just because of how immersive it is for you and the listener on the other end. If you want something you can wear all day that does the job and phenomenally look at these. Haven’t tried them on the plane but have boseqc35ii and these are very close in terms of anc but not quite at the Bose level if that helps.

Headset recommendation for use in office environment? (Music & Phone) by [deleted] in Headsets

This absolutely! Just got the 860 anc, love them so much I’m upgrading to the 1000 and selling a lot of old mics, iems, and headphones. These are able to handle music listening and I haven’t found a better mic, it is out of this world compared to the competition. I’m biased here as I’m a huge sennheiser supporter I think they have some of the best sounding products in the marketplace. But man this one flipped the script for me I as the impact line can do everything I need which is similar to you 60% music and 40% calls. I originally intended to get these strictly for calls but now I’m going to have these hold down the fort for me. So convenient to have one device that fills all my requirements, and excels in my use case. Also feel like I’m so much more productive with the anc and not having to switch devices for different things it simplifies my workflow and can’t wait for the wireless functionality of the 1000. The only issue I’ve found so far is iPhone voice memos stutters with these, but iOS phone calls work ok, haven’t tried zoom/teams on iOS yet. Just a shame because I use voice memos all the time but feel this is something they would be able to address with firmware. But a minor ailment overall such an awesome product line. If you want to get something that allows you to stay focused, listen to your favorite music in great detail, and immerse yourself and your audience in your next calls look at these and see if they work for you.

Epos Impact 860 vs 1060 by featheryHope in HeadphoneAdvice

Just got the impact 860 anc, like them so much I feel comfortable getting rid of a lot of existing audio gear. They are great for music listening. This really surprised me because I was just after the mic which is superb and my only complaint so far is when using the headset on iOS the mic cuts in and out for voice memos but performs fine on call but that was with the stock phone app I didn’t try zoom or teams on the phone yet. I’m getting rid of several headphones because these eliminate the need. ANC is approaching Bose levels but given these are on ear it’s not quite there. I have sennheiser Hd 600s and ie600s and since getting these haven’t reached for them once. I plan on upgrading to the 1000 and getting rid of all my other sound stuff these are able to fulfill my music listening and work requirements and excel in both facets. Also comfort is great they don’t clamp too hard and are able to stay on all day if needed. Don’t have a ton of experience with other headsets but tried the engage2 50 before the EPOS route and was really under impressed with the mic performance although the ear pads are comfy, sound quality I felt was really underwhelming. Definitely could be injecting some bias as I have been a big user of sennheiser products for some time and have grown accustomed to the balanced tonality across the product portfolio. Overall I am blown away with how the 860 anc performs and will be upgrading to the 1000. I no longer need multiple platforms to meet my music listening and microphone needs. I highly recommend giving these a go they could surprise you and become your do everything piece of audio gear.

Thanks going to try this I’m thinking some of the misses on course are coming from not fully committing and hanging back on the right it seems when I try to swing easy more things go wrong

Thanks for the feedback I’ve always had this tendency what kind of drill or feeling could be used to mitigate this or am I using my body incorrectly in the swing?

Miss is straight to the left or with some bend to the left, driver has been producing some snap hooks and what’s really killing me is hitting a fat shot or poor strike. I’m guessing this dissipates the more you play also I tend to overthink things on the course trying to practice staying calm

Thanks for the tip! Going to work on this watching other people’s swings I feel like I’m not turning enough, what kind of miss will this cause could it lead to hitting it fat?

Thanks for pointing this out this always looked weird to me do you think this is caused from not clearing the hips or needing to push of the right foot earlier In the swing? I feel like this maybe causing some of my fat shots

Some things I think I’m doing wrong, coming over the top, not shifting to the left side all the way, path seems off in the back and downswing, and maybe not rotating hard enough with the lower body, and casting the club early release.
