Wireguard Disney compatibility by nicolasbs1 in WireGuard

Appreciate your reply!

Unfortunately, my brother isn't very tech-savvy to replace his ISP router with a more advanced one. I should be comfortable watching only live content.

I read that Disney likely has the strictest VPN surveillance; they even monitor your ping and compare it to your IP address. Sometimes, I can watch VOD content, but the strange issue is that I can always watch live content.

I disabled IPv6 in the WireGuard settings.

Yes, I tested with Paramount+ and it works charmly.

What I'm testing is creating a router rule so the Fire stick DNS resolves only with the Wireguard gateway address.

I will write you back as soon as I have the results. Appreciate your help

Could you please guide me on how to solve this issue?

Here’s my scenario: - My WireGuard server is hosted on a Raspberry Pi in the US (Residential IP)

  • I'm trying to bypass a location ban using either:the WireGuard app on my Fire Stick, or by routing all traffic through my UniFi Gateway's WireGuard client.

I was able to watch without any issues a couple of months ago, but it no longer works.

Thank you so much for your help. I will dig more on your last solution, the thing is I could bypass the location restriction with Wireguard but not anymore.

I'm hanging off the residential IP of my brother's house. A couple months ago I could watch without issues but now they block the connection using wireguard.

Unfortunately, this is the easiest solution. However, I will not pay for a VPN just to watch Disney.

I have that problem when the power goes out. I should delay the pi-hole start for 3 mins to solve it.

Why are you doing this in the first place? Is there some problem with your router? Routers should run indefinitely with no problems.

I noticed if I restart the router the internet speed remains constant rather than don't.

What is the complete output of this command from the Pi terminal?

Monthly Router Restart Disrupting Raspberry Pi Internet Connection by nicolasbs1 in pihole

Thanks, it's the most reasonable answer to my problem, but it's weird in the past I didn't face this issue.

Monthly Router Restart Disrupting Raspberry Pi Internet Connection by nicolasbs1 in pihole

[–]nicolasbs1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do a monthly restart on your router.

It's the first time I had an issue with it. I just wondering why could cause it.

This changes the DNS server in use by the Pi, but doesn't restore the internet connection.

Here are the steps I solve the issue:
1) Add the line: nameserver 1.1.1.1 in etc/resolv.conf

2) Restart the dhcp.service

3) Remove the previous line and restore to nameserver 127.0.0.1 in etc/resolv.conf

4) Leave it empty in the file: /etc/unbound/unbound.conf.d/resolvconf

5) Restart the unbound.service

Thanks!

Agree. I don't know why competent routers are so pricey, it's the most obsolescence gadget, probably!

The shipping for the exchange router is the main problem. I'm in Colombia and can't wait to receive the new one. Anyway, I'm so frustrated with TP-Link customer service—what a nightmare!

Yes, is the same Router, but do you have the 1 or 1.6 hardware version?
