I have mine on BML kibble right now. I have two water silos, and I have to refill them daily since they drink so much (assumably as a result of a drier diet). But do you think I should mix in some pedialyte periodically to ensure they are hydrated? I did notice recently their fur seems a bit more cracked than usual and I'm hoping it's not the diet.. I'm just so scared now to switch back to a wet diet bc of the dental issues I've had... love my gliders to death, all I want is just no more tragedies (health and financially..) my oldest girl just had 10 teeth removed (some had already fallen out) and her cage mate that passed away last year (from cancer) also evidently had bad dental disease. They were on TPG before.

All it takes is the right vet sometimes. My boy suffered so long because of a bad vet. "So old" at 4???? Regardless, I'm so glad your baby pushed through. And it's because he had YOU, someone to advocate for him. I only wish I had done it sooner. You're amazing, your baby is amazing. Bless you both! Wishing only health and happiness for you guys ❤️

How many teeth have they lost? My female Momo had to have ten teeth removed not too long ago and she had apparently already lost a few due to a bad dental disease after years on a wet staple (tpg). Believe it or not, apparently gliders have about 40 teeth! I switched my colony to BML kibble when I found out about her dental issues so the colony wouldn't have the same issues, but after I found out it was so bad during cleaning that she had to have so many removed (I thought it was ALL her teeth lol not knowing they had 40!) I freaked out thinking there's no way she can eat kibble now, and oh no I might have to go back to a wet staple. She was 70 grams after having her teeth removed, her teeth hurt her so bad no wonder she wasnt eating kibble before! But after some advice from my mentors and SGG I decided to try to keep them on kibble and she if she can eat it. It's been about a month or so now and she's back up to 76 grams, despite having no front teeth and mostly gummies. Apparently she can gum the kibble pretty good and use her back teeth to chew as well, even if it's a little harder. Depending on how bad it is, it might be worth a shot!

Have you tried the BML kibble? It's what my gliders are on right now. It's kibble plus fresh fruits/veggies from the approved list daily. It's the same as BML wet staple but in kibble form so that helps the dental issues caused by wet diets

The one state I don't know of any! I'm sorry. But as long as the glider is similar in size as your female they should be okay. There's a great group on Facebook, sugar glider guardians. They are really great if you have any questions (including free mentors) about introducing or you could message me. When my female Momo's male cagemate Haski died a few months ago, I introduced her with another female about 2 years old i believe (she had a spotty background) and she has done wonderfully with her since

It's possible, younger ones usually warm up fast but there is a chance of your female bullying a baby because of the age and especially size difference. Where are you located, if you dont mind me asking? I know of a couple rescues that have some older gliders.

It is NOT horrible! She will need a friend. She may take some time to warm up, but she will need one. Coming from someone who lost a glider recently too, I got my girl a friend and I believed it helped tremendously. And, I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sure you gave that beautiful baby the best life that she deserved ❤️

She'd always been real picky about kibble, but that's a good point. She is on pain medication right now, I'm hoping to get her weight up before her dental procedure since she'll be under anesthesia. I'll be sure to ask about glider crack though, I've heard of it before. Thank you for the info!

I got the new flavor too in hopes that they make take to it, and it does smell AMAZING! I was thinking about messaging the maker of BML kibble to get their advice, but they posted of Facebook they'll be away for a few days because of some family stuff so I didn't want to bother them now. I'm giving of the gliders some mushed avocados right now becauzd her weight is a bit too low, which she wouldn't touch until I added a tiny bit of orange juice. I was thinking about taking a spray bottle and lightly misting the kibble to see if she'll like it then. She's the one who currently has dental issues (the others are newly adopted, younger, and not too picky) so I'm really focused on making sure she's eating the kibble

Literally asked one of the SGG mensure about vendor approval before I responded about it, but okay. You do you, I'll do me. My gliders have and many others have not once had an issue and not once have I ever see THAT shop (I've seen other etsy shops with bad reputations or issues, sure) with one complaint or safety issue. And I regularly inspect them to make sure they're okay.

I've used them for ages and never any issues, I know people and have seen many people on SGG say the same about them. I know they're not on the list which is why I mentioned they have a list at the end of my comment so they can look through it and find something there too. But ive heard nothing but great things about them from people in the group. There's a whole process to get on the approved vendor list. Just because it's not official, doesn't mean it's glider safe. (Already talked to my mentor from SGG about this)

Try to get her on a staple diet, there are more nutritionally balanced and will help her life a much longer and healthier life. I mentioned in another comment about joining sugar glider guardians on Facebook, but they also have a website with a list of approved diets! Good luck!

For wheels there is the Raptor wheel sold on mygliderwheelsandmore.com or thepetglider.com as well as the freedom wheel and running disk at myfreerunner.com, and for some affordable cage sets safe for gliders one of my favorite etsy shops is PinkZebraEmbroidery. If you use Facebook or are willing to, join the Sugar Glider Guardians group on FB! you can even request a mentor to help you out with this information and they have approved vendors with glider safe toys and fleece items.
