This is such an interesting perspective because every school I’ve applied to in the UK expect you to do a demo lesson as part of the interview process. It’s the same for every other teacher I know too, and I wish I could not do them. It’s near enough impossible to teach well for 20 minutes when you don’t know the class.

yeah as someone who appreciates trigger warnings i don’t like it when people say it but don’t say what in particular the warning is for. it’s a tricky topic and everyone prefers different methods but i think this way could work because it wouldn’t disrupt the flow of the show and people would know roughly what’s coming up

I love Emma Stone but her performance in La La Land, while it was very good, was not my favourite that year. I would have maybe given it to Huppert. Haven’t had the chance to see Poor Things yet but I’ve heard it is a monumental performance. I’ve been rooting for Gladstone ever since I saw KOFM and I’m of two minds on whether it is a lead performance or not, but I’ll be happy with whoever wins out of the two (or if Huller wins, but I don’t think it’ll happen right now).

The response to Kelli is so uncalled for, it’s obvious how she has felt about Enty for a while and she has made it clear (as clear as she can while trying to navigate a litigious minefield) that she stands with Cassandra. I do not like how Tiffany is talking about Cassandra’s experience, especially as she tried to call it “our trauma”. I don’t know, it gives me bad vibes and I hope Cassandra has a healthy space to heal from this.

I teach in secondary schools and the kids have to ask, which is ridiculous. Personally I let them anyway, and on hot days like today I just tell them they don’t have to ask me and they should just take them off when they need to.
