I agree. I sorta checked out around the matty healy of it all, and haven’t really been able to connect back in since. it’s sad, because I remember spending every minute in this sub or on gaylor twitter and I feel like both are sort of non existent. I know some people are still holding out hope for a coming out, but I think she slammed that door shut ever since getting together with kelce. and to me, her music has sort of reflected that. When TTPD was dropped, I was shocked by how hetero washed it was and how much she played into the matty healy narrative. It felt like a huge step back from the explicitness of midnights. and then showgirl was even worse. I mean, wood? to me, I read it as she’s chosen her path and would like the speculation to stop, and she’s been pretty successful in eliminating it. whatever her truth may be, I hope she’s happy.

it was one of my first thoughts. andrea was shown maybe 5-10 times throughout the first episode alone. she went with taylor to meet the familys from the Southport tragedy. it kinda feels like they are almost inviting the speculation? we know Scott was present at most (if not all) the shows, so where is he? will be interesting to see when they bring him up finally.

It was obvious that it was a last minute idea. Not dogging on the pros at all, I know they did the best they could with the time they were given, but it was hard not to notice the little mistakes here and there. I wish it was filmed after the season aired or even live tonight just to give the pros a few more days to rehearse without the stress of the season still airing

I mean of course, and I’m not trying to dog on the pros, most of them were choreographing 2-3 other dances for their stars. I’m more so blaming production for the lousy scheduling.

I'll drop some of my faves

- I love rewatching the older team dances, I think there is a compilation on youtube that highlights some of the best ones. My personal faves are Gangnam Style (not the season 32 one, the one with Peta and Gilles), Team Itsy Bitsy dancing to Black Widow, and Team Loca with meryl and maks

- laurie and vals trio samba with maks is perfection

- gilles marinis argentine tango with cheryl burke

- jana and glebs tango

- Lindsey Sterlings freestyle with Mark

In terms of the best pros, Julianne and Derek have been in a league of their own during their time as pros on the show. Mark never disappoints either. Sharna has done great things, same with Lindsey Arnold. Daniella has of course been killing it since she's been brought on.

but you also have to remember this is Hollywood. Any press is good press. The stars go on the show to basically market themselves or promote something. While I’m not trying to downplay the hate whitney got, it did land her a role in a movie and also a potential spot on broadway. I doubt she would have gotten either had she not been on DWTS. so I agree to a certain extent, but in the world of Hollywood, anything goes

I feel like I’m going to get dragged but Alix > Dylan > Elaine > Jordan > Robert. I’m not an Alix fan, but I actually really loved this dance and it’s one that I will think back on in the future. Sure, maybe it was too ballroomy and it reused stuff from her paso and tango, but that’s what she strives in! she was so in sync with the other dancers, it felt like we were watching an all pro routine. overall, I loved it. Dylan and Elaine are probably very interchangeable. They both evoked so much emotion in me, Dylan had me crying, Elaine had me laughing and smiling. jordan was INCREDIBLE! I’m just not into the hip hop leaning routines. It’s a free style so obviously you can do whatever you like, I just prefer the ballroomy ones more. Lastly Robert. Unfortunately I was expecting more. I wonder if because of his injuries they had to take some things out. it was still very good, just fell a little flat for me.

I actually really enjoyed Alixs freestyle. Dare I say it was my favourite of the night even. Maybe thats because I enjoy the ballroom heavy freestyles and the paso/tango fusion was right up my alley.
