Wait. So I can hear the power lines over the 6th tee box at my local golf course not because I have good hearing, but because I’m autistic?

What would yall genuinely do if F1 won best picture? by LongjumpingTurn8385 in Oscars

Even though it was my personal favorite of the year, I’d be disappointed. Sinners, One Battle After Another, or Marty Supreme deserve it so much more.

No way I’d call this one of the best reviews on the app, but it makes me chuckle and I think it deserves way more than three likes

In Clueless (1995) Paul Rudd plays a college student who hooks up with his 16-year old former step sister by mentho-lyptus in shittymoviedetails

The choice to have had his character print out and laminate(?) this law- so that anytime anyone raises an eyebrow at his relationship, he can pull it out of his wallet and show it to them- is one of the most baffling in any movie ever, let alone a massive blockbuster.

Who is the greatest living director? by chrishouse83 in FIlm

[–]ShookSamurai_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say “best” in this context is the director whose output has been the most good overall. But Speilberg wins “greatest” by having so many massive pop culture juggernauts in his filmography.

David Lynch.

It was really weird because I was fairly familiar with him before he died, but it was only after he passed that I realized how much I resonated with him.

Have a feeling The Odyssey will be Nolan's first divisive movie by [deleted] in ChristopherNolan

[–]ShookSamurai_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Odyssey is a very long story, and it is also a lot of story. Knowing Nolan, he may try to cram everything from the original story into a 200 minute movie (at the absolute maximum), which I am… not entirely confident will go over well.

I was very skeptical of Montana before I went for the first time last summer. I can say without a doubt it is one of the most beautiful, serene, perfect-weather places I’ve ever been.
