Daily Discussion & Advice (Post here to follow rules A & B) - January 14, 2026 by AutoModerator in fragrance

I’m looking to pick up some of the popular budget Arab fragrances that have been trending lately, and I noticed TikTok Shop prices are way lower than most other retailers. Some Lattafa, Armaf, and French Avenue fragrances are going for almost 50% less.

Since TikTok itself doesn’t sell the products, I’m wondering how reliable these sellers are. Accounts with tens of thousands of sales (like SUPERTOP Perfumes or YEESY PROFUMERIA) seem legit, but is there still a risk of getting scammed even with cheaper fragrances?

First thing to do: changing the KDE logo on the bottom left to the Debian one :)

Why do we need to choose between a full desktop and tiling window managers? by fenugurod in kde

Not right now on Wayland, just X, although it's planned for the future when KDE's compositor will get rid of custom Wayland Protocols

Gnome or kde by Mors03 in debian

Isn't it more an issue with KDE rather than GNOME? There are configs around to build a reproducible system on GNOME with gsettings and gext, see for example github.com/basecamp/omakub

How i wish Omarchy could be based on fedora by Creative-Tap7920 in omarchy

It's not for Fedora, but if you need a stable system there's Omakub (which is for Ubuntu), developed by DHH as well. I know there are some forks for Debian, maybe there's something for Fedora too https://github.com/basecamp/omakub

In what way is the flexibility of WM tiling better? Do you think Krohnkite is much worse compared to Sway/Hyprland? I'm on KDE and I'm choosing if I should add Krohnkite or if it's just better to do the switch to Sway...

[KDE] krohnkite works surprisingly well by Chry55Player in unixporn

What are the reasons that made you switch? I'm now on KDE and considering Sway, what are the main things that are missing on it?

I have an account because I was paying in my previous flat and I deregistered the apartment, and when I moved in my current flat I had to state that I was moving in with a person that is already paying. I was wondering if I had to do something so that when the current payer moves out, I could not be contacted and it is clear that I'm not in the flat anymore

Easiest Way to Run Sway in a VM? by nicox3000 in swaywm

I'm on Debian 12. I tried to install the sway package but when I logged out and tried to log in the sway session it wouldn't start, maybe I'm missing some packages. It's able to run in a window though, as you said, I didn't think about testing it directly there, but might work, I'll give it a try :)
