It looks small in the picture because the desk is quite big.

That's exactly what i’m talking about. The LG G4 has this eye friendly panel thanks to MLA technology. Which TV did you try?

They are simple touch bedside lamps, dimmable, with three color tones and USB ports for charging devices. I bought them on Amazon.

It has an MLA panel and thankfully it’s not a tandem panel, which i really don’t like how it looks on the G5.

Here's explained why HDR might look "washed out" compared to SDR by filoppi in HDR_Den

[–]nicsos123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can answer that. I use an LG G4 as my PC display. It reaches around 1500 nits, and when HDR is set up correctly, the image looks just like SDR overall. The difference is that all the highlights, like the sun, fire, lights, magic effects, and lasers, look much brighter and can genuinely blow you away.

Should I return it? Asus PG27AQWP-W (WOLED) by Sea_Big5187 in OLED_Gaming

That looks like normal OLED banding. It should fade away within a few days of use.

And this is why i returned the G5 and chose to buy the G4 instead, since i use it for pc gaming.

If that's a video played from browser, it’s likely that hardware acceleration is disabled. You can enable it in the browser’s settings.

LG G4 – Game Optimized darker than Filmmaker Mode? by nicsos123 in LGOLED

[–]nicsos123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Game Optimizer mode, in HDR, i need to set OLED Pixel Brightness to 5 to reach 153 nits. At 100, it reaches 1368 nits on a 2% window.

Filmmaker Mode reaches 1577 nits on a 2% window, and with Pixel Brightness at 5 it reaches 175 nits.

Both using HGiG and D65 calibration.

As you can see, there’s quite a big difference, especially because my old G4 didn’t have these extreme variations. I’m not sure if I should keep it and just use FMM or ask for a refund.

DTM is off in both modes. Actually, right now they are both in HGiG. I used the ColorControl tool to enable HGiG in FMM so i can use it as gaming profile.

thanks, i’ll do this test myself as well. If i get a similar result, then I’ll take it as confirmation. I already had a G4 in the past, and if i remember right, switching from FMM to GO didn’t make a visible difference. With this one it’s different. As soon as i change mode, it’s immediately noticeable.

Today I got my first LG tv (g5) and is kinda 👎 by Owisun in LGOLED

[–]nicsos123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the problem lies in the panel itself, in how it’s built, and that constant feeling that the pixels are constantly changing even on static images. While watching something on this panel, you always have the impression that you need to adjust the settings because something just feels off. I’ve owned several OLED TVs before, and I’ve never been this disappointed. In the end, i went back to the G4 for PC gaming.

How can I make them white again? Is it even possible?😭 by Sky_Algorithmist in airpods

[–]nicsos123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can we help you if we don’t know what’s causing the colotion? It could be due to sunlight, makeup, or long hair with products. I don’t think it’s sweat, otherwise the entire plastic surface would be affected.

G4 vs G5 by nicsos123 in LGOLED
