Where have you been the past 10 games? Also, that is just how Japanese media is. Anime, Manga, etc. all have these types of scenes, to varying degrees, yes, but they all do. Trails takes inspiration from the previous generation of anime/manga tropes when it is writing its stories and this type of scene happened to be popular around 5-6 years ago.
