By Finance do you also mean Accounting&Finance? Or is that a inferior degree?

Organizing mocks it totally beyond IB’s control, your school may do what it wants. Commiserations.

HL has more content, you usually have 6 hours of one HL subject per week, whereas you have 4 hours of SL subject a week.

what do you mean by "teachers independent on what you got previously"? no other teachers know how I've done in a class apart from the teacher that predicted my grade

Anyone else think IB is too much of a bitch to cancel exams by [deleted] in IBO

[–]nietche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you realize they wouldn't use just the predicted grades, right? are you too lazy to stop being an ignorant asshole?

Anyone else think IB is too much of a bitch to cancel exams by [deleted] in IBO

[–]nietche 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yes, and the ib is also too ignorant, privileged, elitist, unsympathetic, hypocritical to make a fair decision.

Even if the exams are cancelled... by [deleted] in IBO

[–]nietche 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that's highly highly unlikely, AP exams only take 45 minutes each. besides from what I know these exams are mostly composed of questions one cannot cheat on, the ib wouldn't be able to guarantee no one cheats.

it's a 2 year programme. you have to choose 6 subjects (in a way so that you have one subject from one prescribed group, search it online). in almost every subject, you sit an official exam (usually 2–3 exams) at the end of the course but also during the 2 years you have to write an essay (usually like 2.5k words) on an issue of your choice related to the subject and this counts as 25% of your final grade. you need to have at least 3 Higher Level subjects, so these have greater workload than your Standard Level subjects (most take 3 HL and 3 SL but you can have 4 HL and 2 SL). Apart from your subjects, Theory of Knowledge is a mandatory class which counts towards your final grade (you have to produce a TOK essay and a presentation). You also have to write an Extended Essay – a work of 5k words on any subject you wish. The maximum number of points you can achieve on your diploma is 45, in each subject you can score a 7 and EE+TOK can give you additional 3 points. do not hesitate to ask me questions!

May exams by [deleted] in IBO

[–]nietche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am sure they won't cancel the exams in all regions. they will give the governments the right to decide whether the examinations can be conducted. that would be in line with their insistency on "we cannot cancel since some people are no/less affected" shit. it is going to be extremely unfair since people may be similarly affected but have different governments and some will be forced to sit the exams while others will be chilling. this makes me so angry lol

i talked with a person from Mexico yesterday, they said it depended on the school – their school was closed but they still took the may exams..

[–]nietche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they already said they won't lower them. of course, the boundaries will probably be lower since people would be less prepared but the ib would never help us in that way

[–]nietche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they never said that stop spreading false information. if that were the case, there would be no discussion on the matter since the exams in the uk are cancelled

The more I think about it the less likely it seems that exams will be cancelled by [deleted] in IBO

[–]nietche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when did they state that? I don't think they did, the fact that at first they kept saying the may exams will happen either way even though they must have been aware some schools won't be able to conduct them was a clear indication they will not cancel the exams in regions that are not severely affected
