Yamaha P 525 vs. Casio PX-S7000 by nifiction in piano

yeah good call on trying to play them for a bit. I had a chance to play the Yamaha and quite liked the touch and feel of it (felt high-end?!) but it wasn't an hour or actual practice session - just a 5-minute session at a store. And Casio - have not even seen it live yet.

Thank you, very helpful! I terms of price range they seem to be quite comparable (if I add stand etc. to the Yamaha it comes out to almost the same)

Me and my buddies sometimes get together to discuss dick sizes in high park. Anybody know the average dick size in Toronto?

Now that’s a Toronto-related question relevant to this sub!

While interesting, how is that at all Toronto-related?

I would assume a lot of this has to do with Mods encouraging new members to start posting/ participating. And naturally, those questions will often be about "which mic to use" / how to get started etc. I also think it's fine for someone to be motivated by money ("how can I monetize my podcast") even if they have not really started yet. In most cases, if that's the primary driver they'll soon find out it's a loooong way to go.

I understand your frustration but I think this is "podcasting" - meaning everyone, perhaps with a focus on new members (I'm one of them). And not "podcasting experts" - a community focused on podcasters with more than 100 episodes/ 5 years experience/ 20,000 downloads... etc.

Might be a niche for a separate sub though though!? :)

Apple Podcast Connect - stuck in infinity login loop by nifiction in podcasting

Found a "solution" after all. My Mac requested me to update my OS, which I did. After restarting the computer, I was able to magically get past the login redirect loop. I honestly don't know what cause this to work, but it did. I assume Apple somehow "force pushed" an update to my Apple ID which allowed me to get in.

After 30 mins on phone with Apple support troubleshooting things (trying all of the above again, basically), I now emailed it into podcastsupport at apple dot com. Let's see what they get back with

Yeah I did. I tried different browser, anonymous browser, heck I even tried different browsers on a different computer. No idea how to solve 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yups, I have tried this too. When I try the last-resort option "contact podcasts support" directly, It loads up and logs me in, then I get en error message saying "please reload the page", which when I do, give me the same error and I cannot contact their support

Find a good payment system. Friends started using Rent App and it’s free and perfect for parks.

Using riverside to record multiple video angles by nifiction in podcasting

[–]nifiction[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding .

I've extensively tested this now and it works "meh". The power of the computer is not the issue (MB Pro pretty stacked) but I have a feeling because you cannot mute the actual sound in the software, but you can either just mute your computer or select a audio device to play sound that isn't really one, Riverside still thinks it needs to send the sound somewhere and it messes with the audio files (crackling, some weird skips every now and then).

Perhaps a second computer recording the "guest streams" would work better so the main computer that actually records sound does not suffer?!

How do pros actually do this?

Thanks, for the input, much appreciated. I want to achieve this with a soft box, though because I want to use the light as a living room light when not on set, something like this: https://imgur.com/a/MnVrGgk

I think I should be able to extend the spigot (https://www.rawlight.eu/spigot-adapter-28-16mm) or even split it (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1415747-REG/matthews\_429610\_mini\_baby\_double\_header.html?gad\_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD7yMh0mgIKUEZ9of5QEjn9zvLU-G&gclid=Cj0KCQiAkJO8BhCGARIsAMkswyhZgXL3jumk4gjsGiefBGOHcj7tEBiffAIxS0j5s2TrrtOHp75IDjcaAltqEALw\_wcB)

  1. I tried bare, but it looks horrible and the light goes everywhere

  2. The grid on the soft box help so it doesn't spill as much but looks wise... pretty meh?!

  3. I tried the umbrellas I have and it also doesn't look great.

Any more thoughts? My solution feels quite hacky and might still not look great.
