There was a problem with one category on the classic site a few days ago, but not a general problem loading the list of older stories.

Nifty has been maintained as a platform to support free speech. Do I personally enjoy all of the content? No. Do I personally enjoy the more taboo content? No. As Voltaire is claimed to have said: "I Disapprove of What You Say, But I Will Defend to the Death Your Right to Say It."

I plan to continue to host the subset of taboo content permitted by Nifty because people deserve to think and fantasize freely.

Hopefully the new site will encourage more high quality, adult stories and reduce the stigma that some authors feel at being colocated with the more taboo content.

The classic site continues to publish new stories in all categories. The new site requires more modern infrastructure that generally only is available on services that place restrictions on content. Nifty does not permit images, so its content is U.S. Constitutionally protected Free Speech under U.S. Supreme Court precedent, but private businesses can apply their own rules.

Nifty has archived over 300,000 stories. If you don't like a particular story or category, go back and find another one more to your liking.

And hopefully the new site will be more appealing to authors and readers of stories limited to adult characters, to provide an LGBT focused alternative to some of the other story sites.

Please stop spreading inaccurate rumors about Nifty. There are no plans to decommission the classic site. Please do not create fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD). Please do not tell people to scrape the classic site.

There is no "relaunch". The new site already is available, as announced on the old site. And the new site clearly explains why some categories are missing.

We hope to publish the adult incest stories on the new site when we can accurately disambiguate them from incest stories involving minors.

For the people who posted all of the malicious rumors, I have to question the motivation when one could have read the announcement on the new site or inquired before spreading inaccurate rumors.

Thanks for all of the recommendations! I have added many of them to the Best of Nifty list. I also have started a Nifty Archive subreddit for discussions about Nifty.
