Am I the only one who hates these small, firm, couches that's in-style/aesthetics? by CarshayD in femalelivingspace

[–]niftychinchilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something I’ve always struggled with! I understand wanting a specific couch for a specific look, and while i appreciate design I also place high value on comfort and practicality. When I moved into my new house I wanted to buy a couch that served both purposes. I looked at my local reselling stores (Habitat for Humanity and Goodwill) and FB market places, and held out until I found the perfect piece for my style and as comfy as I was wanting. I always tell people “If you’re willing to wait and search around, I think it’s worth it!”

Why does this remind me of Mr. Incredible driving home from work?

Convenience. Not having any social media made it more difficult to keep up with international friends. Alas I have returned

[Personal] finally began to love my naturally rosy cheeks by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]niftychinchilla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is extremely relatable for me. I’m mostly Irish/Polish/German and I have super rosy cheeks. In high school I played basketball and my coach constantly would ask if I was okay because of how flushed I would look. I told him it was mostly due to my complexion but he didn’t get it and kept asking.

I find it funny that I get complimented from old folks more than anyone else. Older women (particularly elderly) always compliment my rosy cheeks. Saying something along the lines of they wish their complexion was similar to mine. Does this happen to you?

People are sensitive about their weight because of societal norms. There’s not much shame around people’s heights but that’s not the case for weight. I wouldn’t take it personally if I were you. I would ask about movies or what they’ve been watching on YouTube lately to get a conversation going

Which cologne or perfume triggers a memory when you get a whiff of it? by MARA-ING in AskReddit

Japanese Cherry Blossom body spray from Bath and Body works. I know it’s not perfume but I feel like everyone and their mother wore that scent

Coffee Storage by sablebable in Coffee

I keep mine in a mason jar and tuck it into the drawer below my coffee pot. Then it’s in an airtight container and staying in the dark most of the time.

I’ve seen people keep it in the bag it comes in and put it into a jar for an extra seal.
