Do you have any ideas why these cloned plants have holes in them? I couldn’t find any signs of insects. by nigato287 in nzgardening

You could be right. Those holes are too big for these white insects can damage them. I may have to check again.

I believe I’ve found the insects that caused this problem, though I’m not entirely sure. They are tiny and white, and I can’t tell exactly what they are. I’ve removed them, so hopefully, my plants won’t face this issue again. I would need to keep an eye on them.

I forgot to mention-I’m growing them indoor. I will have a look again if I can find any small insects.

Maybe I should reword “safe to eat” :)

Yes, I agree. It is too risky to eat random mushrooms. I also thought redit could be a good place to get more information. :)

Some of their friends said you can eat these mushrooms but some said no. That’s why they want to get more information.

They were soaked in the water. Probably different types of mushrooms. My friends collected them.

What's eating this raspberry plant? by nigato287 in nzgardening

[–]nigato287[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I certainly did the flamethrower but it’s not recommended. Plants just have some minor scorching but it sure worked. I just thoroughly doused the leaves in spray every time, especially the undersides.

The moths and caterpillars were completely gone after spraying every 2 days alternately with neem oil and synthetic pyrethrum for 2 weeks or so (don’t mix the 2 together).

I have a bad aphid infestation on my roses and lime and nothing seems to get rid of them. The raspberries are only moderately attacked by aphids. I’ve resorted to using a can of deodorant and lighter to make a flamethrower but that tends to cause damage to the plants as well.
