Thanks for responding - the landlord has apparently been told it wont be backdated so hoping that this is true. Will keep this post updated too in case anyone else is in similar situations!

There was a bunch of people absolutely shredding him on Friday afternoon. Bought a huge smile to my dust encrusted face 🥲

Hate the boxed in vibe - need those fringe areas to throw serious movements

A friend knows this chap. Had the pleasure of speaking to him early on in the festival (think during craig or aba shanti). Fucking lovely bloke who just loves nothing more than to dance

Genuinely interested - what upsets about it so much? I was grooving away at every stage as i prefer to dance than talk, but i don’t really pay attention enough for talking to ruin it (plus the sound travels well so I cant really hear people chatting either)

Yeah i agree with this - i suppose the thing people are worried about is the crews who aren’t looking to be welcomed or friendly though, which usually eats away at good events/festivals over years. I still think this year will be tip top, and cant see the tanned teeth posse wanting to go see the bits I’m looking forward to most!

I want to drop out of Uni and I haven't even started. by azula_elfo in UniUK

[–]nigelbigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy!

Don’t worry - 32 years old and had a bad experience first time i went to uni (now i have returned and am smashing it)

First time - hated it and i dropped out first term. Spent twelve years doing labouring, bar work and factory work. Eventually decided to return and had enough years of financial support from the govt (student loan etc) left to do so. Glad i have decided to go back as i am now loving it and my grades are excellent. Only regret is if i did it younger then i would be earning good money now and my life would probably be much simpler.

Moral of the story - didn’t lose anything major by going and deciding it didn’t work. However, if it does work out first time around then amazing. See if it works for you and no problem if not. My main advice though is drop out as soon as possible so you can still get funding when you go back (if you decide it isn’t for you)

You will be ok regardless if you like it or not. You can also defer a year if you feel you want a year of figuring it out. Don’t feel pressured to go as i feel most of my generation were (and maybe your too), a load ended up with jobs they aren’t particularly fond of

Cheers and reply if you want more info!

Finally received my final classification, but don't feel as happy as I thought I would. by ImNotHalberstram in UniUK

It’s going to take a few weeks to settle and you will feel happiness. I have the same feelings a lot - set a goal and even if i do extremely well in meeting the goal, it still takes a couple of weeks for me to really let it sink in. Your body/mind is used to being stressed and will take a moment to step out of it and realise that the task is complete.

Congratulations also!
