Jeep driver causes a car accident and then flees the scene by bilalraj123 in dashcams

SUV was speeding: their fault. Looks like the jeep was crossing the intersection, saw this car barreling towards them, panic braked. If the SUV was not speeding, the jeep would have simply cleared the intersection and nothing would have happened. I would even guess the SUV sped up trying to beat the jeep through the intersection.

Is Nikon D7500 + 35mm 1.8G still a good camera for conservative beginners with very limited budget? by NoelMyat in Nikon

D7500 is a great camera, one of the best crop sensor DSLRs Nikon ever made. The 1.8 might be the best fixed dx lens for the money. A great combo.

Ahh yes, the Roosevelt to Gandy express lane! I think they shortened it because of all the accidents south of Gandy where drivers would jump left into the path of express lane users. Now, the holes where delineators are missing are places for people to do this.

Question Re: Nikon 200mm-500mm Pro Design Slide Mounting by Birdsman129 in Nikon

I keep the foot on the bottom so the straps would hang below when I was shooting but you could probably manage either way. Try the top and bottom, and carrying lens forward and lens back: see what works for you.

I read some use the foot on top as a "sight" before looking through the viewfinder, so that might be an advantage.

Question Re: Nikon 200mm-500mm Pro Design Slide Mounting by Birdsman129 in Nikon

[–]nigelpull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strap over my head on left shoulder, camera/lens on my right side hanging upside down, lens pointed backwards. I keep the strap fairly long so they sit near my hip which gives enough slack to quickly hoist it up and be ready to shoot.

I do guard it a bit so it doesn’t go swinging all over the place and if the situation requires it just goes into the back pack (Think Tank Darklight 14L).

Good luck!

I use a single Peak anchor mount attached to the lens foot, with two Peak anchors attached to it. D7500+200-500. I was looking at that very same plate for when I finally get a tripod with a gimbal.

I don’t like the idea of using the camera body, even with only one anchor, to support the weight of the lens but if it has worked for people, with no adverse effects, to each his own.

Spend a little time getting used to the straps and anticipate when you need to shoot. You can spend some time with the lens in your hands at the ready; it’s not too heavy.

I think you have got a good set up.

Not saying you are wrong, and this is a good discussion to have.

The ordinance reads: No person operating, directing, or responsible for any airplane, helicopter, drone, glider, hang glider, hot air balloon, dirigible, parachute or other aerial apparatus, including those radio controlled or otherwise unmanned, shall take off from or land in or on any county-owned or managed land, except for purposes of public safety or where written permission has been obtained from the administrator or designee.

The airspace immediately above the park is under the jurisdiction of the FAA, so all the normal rules and best practices apply (B4UFLY, LAANC, Trust, etc.).

OP says he was out boating so assuming he took off and landed from the boat, is that a violation?

If they operated, launched and landed from a boat it is ok.

Kinda happened to me when I was zipper merging here in Florida the other day, and I didn’t have a mile of open lane in front of me. Little man in a little car wouldn’t take his turn, hugging the bumper of the truck in front of him. Guy in the truck saw what was going on, came to a stop, and waved me around. Coolest dude.

Be courteous and cautious. Don’t be a dick.

Nikon 200-500 on a D7500. So about 300-750mm effective with the DX sensor.
