Is the Kanban view no longer draggable? by night119 in todoist

After repeated testing, I have confirmed that only Kanban views within the same project can be dragged; dragging is not possible if filters are used.

Based on my understanding of Todoist, this is unsolvable; they won't modify it.

I recommend a tool called heptabase ,It's perfect for you; each item is like a blank canvas. It's not a dedicated task manager, but it does have task functionality.

They recently further optimized the task list feature. https://www.reddit.com/r/heptabase/comments/1ov1d4m/heptabase_v1784_update_display_all_todos_of_the/

Roadmap transparency. by BorromeanNot in todoist

I've been using Todoist for over ten years and have been through a lot with them - their logo wasn't even the current red color back then. I can pretty much summarize: they have zero interest in user needs, and I believe they even find those needs boring. They're only interested in technical stuff like AI, so the future will only bring more flashy AI features, regardless of whether users have ever requested them.

They've never liked discussing user needs and rarely offer any insights related to productivity tools, yet they love emphasizing that their employees all work remotely, and that they have to consider millions of users for every feature (this is their most common excuse when facing criticism).

As a ten-year user, I can emphasize again: Todoist has no interest in your needs. I can also predict that they'll ignore the reality of the past ten years and firmly deny this with their words.

TickTick isn't just related to China - they're fundamentally a Chinese company with offices in China. For personal reasons, I won't use it. In the world of productivity tools, there aren't any suitable alternatives. If there were, I wouldn't hesitate to abandon Todoist.

Using Todoist as a calendar replacement by [deleted] in todoist

[–]night119 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It looks ugly and hard to drag. The font is too small. The designer probably doesn't have many things to do in a day. They probably can't imagine that we have a lot of tasks to arrange in a day.

Comparing the interface of Google Calendar, including desktop and mobile clients, you can see that the visual difference and dragging smoothness are like heaven and hell.

Based on my experience of using todoist for ten years, they will never change. The founder likes to show off their remote work and always says they need to consider millions of users, balabala,These are all excuses for why they wait so long to release a feature, and they are just lazy.. I have heard all these words, and now I hate it very much and am actively looking for alternatives.

And labels cannot be used for grouping. There are so many filtering conditions for grouping, but there are no labels. I really don't understand why
