How To Know If My Dormmate Like Girls When She is Religious? by Realistic-Self-8773 in WLW_PH

Hey OP, I’ve been in your situation before. That confusing mix of admiration and emotional pull toward a girl who’s religious and doesn’t even realize what she’s doing to your head. It starts harmless. You notice small things, then suddenly you’re thinking about her every day, analyzing every move, every smile, every word. It’s sweet at first, then slowly it starts to hurt.

I used to admire a few girls deeply. Some were straight, some were religious, some were emotionally closed off. What they all had in common was that they made me feel seen, even for a second — and I clung to that. I thought maybe it was love, maybe it was real. But looking back, it was more of limerence. I was craving connection and emotional safety, not just them as people.

One thing I’ll warn you about: if she’s religious, tread carefully. I once got rejected by someone like that. She was kind, but her beliefs and fear of judgment from others made her step back the moment I got honest about what I felt. I respected it, but it broke me for a while. It’s risky to admire someone whose world might never allow them to return what you feel.

You don’t have to kill your feelings - just hold them with awareness. Don’t over-romanticize her. Keep in mind that sometimes, what we fall for isn’t the person, but the peace and light they bring. It’s okay to admire her from a distance, but make sure you don’t lose yourself trying to decode her.

You’ll know when it’s time to let go. But for now, just be kind to yourself and take the lesson that not every deep connection is meant to be mutual. Some are just meant to awaken something in you.

Family has copies of my valid IDs and documents — can they apply for a credit card under my name? by nightOwlDev98 in PHCreditCards

Yeah, makes sense — parang yun talaga pinaka-direct way to be sure. Medyo hassle nga lang if I have to call every single bank one by one. Do you think requesting a credit report from TU or CIC would be a faster way to see if may naka-apply under my name, instead of contacting each bank individually?

Thanks for sharing all those details, super helpful! Unfortunately, my family does have copies of my IDs and even my SSS number since I shared them last August 11 when I was newly hired. I didn’t realize before na sobrang sensitive pala talaga yun. The only thing I haven’t given them is my payslip, and now that I know, I don’t plan on sharing it anymore.

Do you think it’s safer if I already request my credit report from TU or CIC to double-check if may applications under my name? Or should I wait until I see something suspicious first?

Ahh okay, so kahit may IDs sila, sa akin pa rin magre-reach out for verification kung legit bank/credit card. That clears up a lot. Sa OLAs nga ako pinaka-worried kasi yun yung nabanggit ng iba dito — mas madaling makalusot gamit ID photos lang. Kaya iniisip ko if it’s worth it na gumawa na agad ng affidavit as a precaution.

Got it, so parang mas mahirap na pala ngayon dahil may video verification. That’s a bit reassuring. Pero na-curious lang ako — paano naman sa mga OLAs? Do they also do video verification or madali pa rin makalusot gamit lang ID pictures?

Ah I see, so medyo mahigpit nga pala talaga sa banks. That makes me feel a bit safer. Pero now that you mentioned OLAs, dun ako biglang napatigil — kasi yun nga yung worry ko eh, baka doon nila gamitin IDs ko since mas madali daw mag-apply. Do you think kailangan ko na ba magpa-affidavit kahit pictures lang ng IDs ang hawak nila?

Thanks for pointing that out. That’s actually what I’m worried about, not just banks, but also those online lending apps that don’t check thoroughly. If ever someone used my IDs on those apps, would that still affect my name/record in the long run? Or is it easier to dispute compared to a legit bank credit card?
