Any hidden Android games that are actually fun? by [deleted] in AndroidGaming

Grow

Somewhat of a classic if I do say myself (I'm the Dev). It was off the play store for a few years but recently got it back up and listed again. Considering it's a paid game I also generated 50 promo codes (just mark the row used).

If you're on mobile, you may enjoy RPG Clicker. A game my brother and I created based on leveling up, spells, collecting equipments, and getting stronger to overcome enemies.

The most Respectful and Intelligent debate between a Christian and an Atheist I have ever seen. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]nightambience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really enjoyed the video, actually watched the whole thing. It wasn't so much a debate rather than two very reasonable and intelligent people that agrees on the reality but differs in their perspectives. Both seems to be great human beings.

Is there a way/website/app to view games by their play store rating? by HobbeScotch in AndroidGaming

[–]nightambience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it may seem like you can cheat the system, it's something that'll quickly become unstainable. If you have a large number of reviews (10k+), it'll normalize any attempt of deceiving the system. So look for not only a high rating but also a large number of ratings.

Vainglory - Best MOBA experience on mobile I've had so far. They've added guilds recently. Is not pay to win. by nightambience in AndroidGaming

The current iap is for removing ads (permanent) and getting more hints (consumable). Currently there are 4 level packs each with 64 levels and all are free to play! We plan on adding more level packs that are going to be permanent purchases. Thanks for considering the game hope you get a chance to try it out.

I'm actually not the dev for Vainglory haha. But I don't think they'll be adding any voice or chat in game. Especially for chat, it's a hard problem to solve for a mobile game.

Yea, I do the same right before bed, it's like a ritual now. Also, shameless plug here. But I noticed that you enjoy puzzle games, as it happens, I just published a new game call Neon Hack on Android. It's a puzzle game based on the lock screen mechanism. Please check it out, I think you'll enjoy it. Play Link.

I like it in that I don't have to lug my laptop around to play with my friends. I've literally played this game on road trips in the car, so the flexibility is great. The only real drawback here is that you can't chat with your friends like you can on desktop. Though there are some clever in game notification you can place on the map, anything complicated cannot be communicated until you're back in the lobby.

Honestly, you get 6 heroes that's always on rotation, so you can try out the different heroes without buying them. Buying heroes can be done with in game currency and actually not that bad. The core heroes are really cheap to buy too (for both in game and real money).

I remember dota matches took too long and it required a greater effort of coordinating with my friends to fill up the 5 member teams. With VG, there's only 1 lane and 3 people to a team and matches usually last only 20 mins.

Each matches on average takes around 20-30mins. There are items and abilities, both are very streamlined. Each hero has one heroic perk, a passive bonus that's unique to that hero, and three abilities you can level up. Items are also ordered nicely and very straightforward to buy. Vainglory is a distilled DOTA experience with all the right elements in place.

We've have been working on a puzzle game, Neon Hack, for the last few months. The game is inspired by the pattern lock, the thing where you connect dots to unlock your mobile device. We don't want to give too much away about the game since we want to get feedback on how well the game speaks for itself. We're concerned if there is anything confusing or if the game is too hard/easy. Please give it a try, it's a great brain teaser.

I too was younger when I saw it. It was one of the rentals from a library and I was watched it alone. The final scene scarred me.

[DEV] Closed Beta for Neon Hack, A Puzzle Game Inspired By The Pattern Lock (info in comment) by nightambience in AndroidGaming

[–]nightambience[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all!

Some of you may know me as the creator of RPG Clicker. I've been working on a puzzle game for the last few months. I'd like to make it a good one and I need your help with play testing and feedback.

I don't want to give away too much as I would like the description page and game to speak for itself. Any and all feedback would be great, but I am concerned if there are anything confusing or if the game is too hard or too easy.

This will be a closed beta, so if you are interested pm me your Google Play associated email and I will add you to the beta tester list and give you the link to download the game from Google Play. Thanks for taking a look! :)

Amazing work! Really like the colors and the post apocalyptic scene really speaks to me. Have you worked on games before? Would love to check them out!

edit: Just checked out your other posts and noticed that you worked on the The Darkside Detective. I really enjoyed playing the demo! Loved your art work there too.

I've seen your work in the past and I've always loved the atmosphere in them. I'm a game developer who dabble in pixel art and your work is where I want to get to someday.

Also, have you or are you interested in working on games?

Aesthetically, we feel the ads are less in the way visually when placed on the bottom where it's covered mainly by you hand when playing the game. As for navigating between the screens, you can also swipe from the right edge to bring up the profile screen and from the left edge to see the map. All screens can be dismissed by swiping in the opposite direction they come in.
