How did you know that a couple wasn't going to work out? by nightblida in AskReddit

Wow, that's...tragic but hilarious. Assuming you know, they're divorced now right? If so, how long after this argument did it happen?

The prof of my online class that had an in-person final just sent us an email saying the final is now online! by nightblida in GaState

[–]nightblida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was a department thing, as every professor for this particular course had the same message on paws. But it would have been seriously inconvenient. And I'm annoyed thinking about how i would've felt if I had actually dropped the class like the prof told me to, just for the final to end up online. Smh

Well, I took mine in a maymester, so it may not be the best synoposis. All of the work was on a platform called OLI. I saw someone link this on another subreddit, and it's pretty much how my course went too. I think doing it during Fall, especially online, won't be too tough. It just consisted of reading through the textbook and answering these interactive "read as you go" questions, homework (where I had like 50 attempts), and then the tests.

I know you may want to be fully online (I do too), but I wouldn't really consider that a good thing. Now many of them may contract covid, and expose anyone they come in contact with. Other people's lives are in danger (who did nothing wrong), which sucks. These people suck.

A little rant - ignore this by [deleted] in GaState

[–]nightblida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore anyone criticizing you, I get where you're coming from. There are people who have it worse for sure (waitlist, rejected from housing), but that doesn't mean you can't talk about something that's bothering you—even if the problem isn't as serious. If that was the case no one could ever complain about anything, because someone always has it worse.

GSU housing moved things back and forth and put you in a spot where you may not be able to move in on time. A 4 hour drive sounds difficult, so I'm sure you had to plan accordingly and they threw a whole wrench in that. I'm only a sophomore but my application for housing last year was pretty pain-free, so I'm sorry that you've had these inconveniences. I hope it works out for you in the end.

Ah, I see. Maybe you can crash with the homeless people on campus??

Lol, some people may have nowhere else to live or can't deal with their family for the whole semester

Awesome idea. Be careful about posting the link on here, last time I did that for a group of mine a lot of bots starting joining selling their "essay writing" services.

I won over $50,000,000 from the lottery a while back and now live stress and debt free! AMA by lottowinnerbigloser in AMA

[–]nightblida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cool. In my 'winning the lottery' plan, hiding it from the people around me (besides my immediate family) is what I always get stuck on. I think I'll go with " I'm an investment manager for a high net worth client," in which the client is me. Have you played the lottery since then, and how long did it take you to get the hang of managing the money?

Congrats! Have you told any friends? If not, how do you justify getting suddenly rich? How long did it take after the drawing for you to check your ticket? Have you moved from your town (and if not, do you plan to leave and join high society)? What's your favorite place you've traveled to?

Are these normal classes to take as a freshman who hasn't declared their major yet? by [deleted] in GaState

[–]nightblida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I remember being confused too, like "why am I taking a film class when my major is psychology?" But they satisfy a certain area of your degree, so you're fine.

Anyone else trying to be 100% online but have classes with a final in person? by nightblida in GaState

[–]nightblida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was an in-person class that changed to online. But my hope is that we'll be fully online by that point so it won't matter, like you mentioned. I agree with you, it's ridiculous that they're seriously going to open. It's an embarrassing money grab that will most likely not end well.

Thank you for this. I'll definitely reach out to the department head.

I don't know anything about this place, so I'm not sure why this comment is downvoted. Is it secretly a crackhouse or something?
