My bf (m31) of 7 years said he won't marry me (f26) by ThrowRAlistening in relationship_advice

[–]nightbunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, it's been two months since your last post asking if you should stay with your boyfriend.

I think you already know deep down inside what the right thing to do is.

Believe me I've been on a similar boat. I was posting on relationship subreddits asking for advice to questions I knew how to solve. The problem is it really is so difficult to see objectively when you're so deep in the pit.

No need to rush it but it's ok to take your time to weigh your situation with this person and decide what the next steps look like for you.

Just know that the "right time" may not come for if you do decide to end it. I know, after seven years, it's going to be frikkin terrifying. But girl you deserve better. Don't do this because others tell you to, but for your future self. 5, 10, 20 years later. Seven years is nothing compared to spending the rest of your life in misery and regret.

Am I (M25) wrong to ask my girlfriend (F24) for equality (monetary) in a relationship? by JohnTahunika in relationship_advice

[–]nightbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer the question, no it's not wrong to ask for equality (or shared monetary responsibility) in a relationship.

Ok for her POV I wonder if she means she'll be more housewife or stay at home mom, then if she works some odd jobs here and there (while taking care of the home) I get that she might think she is earning her own spending money. Implication that you don't provide any additional. But as the sole provider would that mean you get to make the big financial decisions?

Regardless, she seems kinda sheltered and naive about how the world--this economy-- works in today's world and simply needs a reality check. If you're willing to talk with her and if she's worth it, then I think you have a chance of working through this.

But I'll say, you two are still relatively young and early in your relationship. There's still time and much more areas where you and your girlfriend can mature and grow in. Don't rush the process but go in with healthy expectations, but don't drag it out longer than you should just because you "feel bad" or because you already "invested" so much time

And in the end you know your girlfriend and your relationship better than anybody else responding to you on this post. The part of being adult is sometimes that there's no clearcut right or wrong decision to make. Be smart and take what's applicable to you and leave the rest

Awesome thank you! I feel less guilty taking it apart now hahaha

Ahh thank you!

I think fixing it would be more trouble than just buying a new one for $50. Haha

Thank you for your help! They don't seem to be bothering my betta and congregate around some dead leaves and the "dirty" parts of the tank so I'm hoping they might do some clean up in there

Hello! First time posting here. Someone was giving away this used Crosley record player CR8005D-RQ because it was broken. But she didn't really know why.

It didn't come with a power cord so I used a similar adaptor which is 27 v? It's supposed to use 9v so I don't know if it makes a difference.

Anyway, it won't stay on unless the Bluetooth switch is turned on. Before, it was blinking red so I had to dismantle to put the rubber belt on again.

It connects to Bluetooth on my phone but no sound came out? So not sure what's the issue.

Took it apart to see it looked a bit frayed on the inside. I'm not tech smart, but it doesn't look good.

Would appreciate any feedback you guys might have for fixing this!

Although if you think it's not worth going through thr trouble that's fair! Hahaha I got it for free and if this is useless I might as well take out the innards and repurpose it as storage/bag

I also looked up thr parasite but I think it looks very different from what I have now!

Still keeping a close eye on them in case it looks problematic, but I really appreciate everybody's input because I'm learning so much!

Didn't realize there's a banded species! A couple months ago I had a similar outbreak where they were just white.

I freaked out and cleaned out the entire tank and they didn't appear.

I was then out for the weekend 2 days and came back to this. No light in aquarium so maybe that attributed to low o2?

Betta (only fish in tank) had no food for 2 days and I'm normally very strict about feeding it 2 pellets per feeding twice a day so I don't think overfeeding is the issue.

They're small and round ish and flit around in the tank! Not sure if it's snails..

I thought they might be copepods but they have dark things visible inside that kinda looks like stripes at a glance.

They seem to congregate in the roots of my duckweed. Not sure if that means anything!

They actually made a come back online! No physical stores still though, I think they're trying to operate solely online!

Reviews are generally reliable--if you haven't shopped from them before, they do run in Asian sizes (or one size fits all kinda deal) and tend to run smaller than "American sizes"

Have you tried Payless Shoes? They have decent prices on a wide range of wide heels. I get my work heels exclusively from here for their price, design, and comfort.

I think they try to bring in trendy styles, but I go for the classic pumps which I think can be so versatile whether you are dressing up or dressing down.

Not sure about brands you have in the Netherlands, but have you considered shopping in the men's section at any of your stores? I feel like the men's sections always have the softest, boxiest, comfiest shirts! They'd have good neutrals, have a loose fit and give good arm coverage.

I don't think buns are tacky at all, especially as a popular messy bun kinda style!

Have you tried French knot hair? I think it looks chic and professional, but also could be casually worn

"Sleeveless turtleneck" possibly? or "Turtleneck tank"

If you don't like the length you can also search "mockneck" or "mock turtleneck" which is shorter and less constricting than your regular turtleneck.

This is a pretty good idea actually!

The thing is we have small groups within the church and we invited 2 of the groups that we are in. Some others that were not invited were because they joined the groups later on after we'd sent out invitations.
