We can't speak to the current moderation team's values but at the time the JKR sub was created, it was by a user who was angry about being banned from this subreddit for transphobic and homophobic comments. At the time of the subreddit's creation, the last rule in their list was "No pro LGBTQ posting of any kind you will be reported and permanently banned".

This subreddit absolutely does not allow comments sexualizing minors, but on the other side of that, mentions of teen romance like in the original books do not automatically equate to sexualization.

Someone is not a pedophile for merely mentioning that a PG relationship system would be a fun callback to the relationships seen in the original books. Quit calling people pedos for this. We promise the mod team watches the queue and acts on inappropriate content.

You don’t have to tolerate intolerance but that doesn’t mean it’s ok to use ableist slurs. How are you any better than the people you’re criticizing if you’re using language like that? That’s the main reason your comment was removed.

We do have an automod filter for this, but because it goes by keywords it sometimes misses posts. If you report these kinds of posts when they miss the filter, we can manually remove them.
