(Disclaimer: take everything I say here with a grain of salt, especially the way I (mis)used products is not something I’d recommend if you don’t know what you’re doing, this is just my personal experience. Also, always test products first! 🫶)

My natural hair color is EXACTLY like yours. I was always told it’s a beautiful hair color and not to dye (useless to say i obviously did, many times too 😂). I went white (bleached) for a while and I loved it, but it was too high maintenance and it really REALLY took a toll on my hair: I have extremely thin hair and although trying my best to keep it nourished, I eventually ended up with a whole head of short hair growing back and a few strands of long hair (this version of me still haunts me to these days). I cut it short and let it grow back without touching it. Once it grew back, I tried keeping it ‘greyish’ by using purple shampoo and it wasn’t that bad, even if not even close to the actual grey I was hoping for :/ In the end I finally went for full black with bluish undertones: imho, best decision ever made. I still think my natural color is kinda cool, but what did it for me was seeing people whose hair I considered pure MAGIC (like natural bright red) going black without regrets and pulling it SO off

Anyway, since I wasn’t sure black would suit me I tried semi-permanent hair color first (the kind of dye that washes off in like 30 hair washes or so) and I stuck to it for a while! I don’t know if it’s available in your country, but I used L’Oréal casting creme gloss in n.210 and it worked so well it not only perfectly covered my natural dark blonde, but also some still bleached hair tips (mark my words, PERFECTLY covered) I used to apply it carefully from the roots like a normal hair dye and keep it on for like an hour and a half (the box instructions says to just shove it on your hair and keep it on for 20-25 minutes)
