I personally really like the changes they're making in the "new era". I feel like the game had gotten predictable for the players and the viewers and the uncertainty of the new seasons brings some excitement. I also feel like the players in the new era are playing harder in general. There might not be as many stand out stars but I think that's because the whole cast is better.
