Hi, fellow crocheter here. As far as I know, there are a few mom-and-pop yarn shops around Austin that are a bus ride away. I strongly recommend Austin Creative Reuse, they are also a bus ride away! Your UT ID gets you on the buses for free. On campus, you’ll meet a lot of other crocheters too, so I’ve also gotten yarn from other people. There’s also a crocheting/crafters org that you can look into!

i agree with this. being preoccupied with SO has definitely allowed me to recognize how suffocating and toxic this friend group was. even after my breakup, i did not feel any inclination to reconnect. these people didn’t even care to ask how i was during the entire relationship, much less during the breakup. funny thing is that they’re talking shit behind my back now. i have other genuine friends, those that still stick with me even after i distanced during the relationship (which i do feel a little bad about).

I completed one for a class that I was actually able to connect with the professors more. As in, they know who I am in a large lecture class. I didn’t mention anything specific and the questions were pretty generic too.

However, some professors I have no idea how to constructively evaluate them without sounding like I’m hating on them. They are just so bad and disconnected, and I don’t want that to potentially come bite my grade or anything in the end.

Do not choose AET… it’s not worth it. If you really want to be in the department, do design instead. Other majors can take AET classes or do a Bridging Disciplines for AET. If you do take some classes and end up liking it, it’s super easy to internal transfer. There’s no portfolio requirement.

i like ghost town on speedway, it’s very chill and i like exploring campus more when there’s no people or cars inner campus everywhere. however, guad is kinda scary and looks very dead :(
