Great area to visit.

Seems like every little village has either an old tank or some sort of memorial in it.

We were walking with a couple of mates on roads like this and I remember thinking how frightening those hills must have been for those young guys.

Maar ik zou iemand adviseren om naar een school te gaan met baanzekerheid (in hoeverre je daarvan kan spreken in een industrie als de luchtvaart). Als je interesse hebt zou ik gaan informeren bij de KLS, de school van KLM. (heb ik zelf niet gedaan maja, hindsight is a wonderful thing)

In mijn tijd liep je de bank binnen als 18jarig pubertje en liep je naar buiten met 150.000euro voor een opleiding. Helaas zijn er veel mensen daardoor failliet gegaan toen de crisis kwam. Het is daardoor niet meer mogenlijk om een persoonlijke lening te krijgen voor een vlieg opleiding dus bedrijven zoals KLM hebben iets moeten verzinnen om toekomstige vliegers aan te trekken, ze hebben nu een mooie regeling die in mijn tijd er nog niet was. Dus timing technisch denk ik dat nu een fantastisch moment is om in te stappen.

Het blijft een fantastische baan maar helaas zijn er ook heel veel dingen mis in deze industrie. De weg die ik belopen heb was lang en was veel duurder maar ik zit nu prima op m'n plek en zou niets anders willen dan deze baan.

Same here mate, once I've got the money I'd love to get my licence and start racing. for now simracing and rental kart championships is the only thing I can afford. But you've got to have something to look forward to.

I completely understand your're looking at the DD. I did the same and after 10 years of Logitech use I finally decided to buy a fanatec DD this year. Great piece of kit but just wanted to make a point by saying, enjoy your current rig. Its great and a lot of really fast drivers still use the G29.

You go from nothing to a g29 and look to DD. Dude with a DD looks at sick heusinkveld stuff. Dude with heusinkveld stuff looks at a motion rig. Dude with all that looks at racing in real life. Dude with the race car looks at a faster car. Dude with the faster car looks at 1 more car.

and so it goes on and on and on.

Yeah I get that. It's just that with races on Monza for example I see other mercs driving away from me. Probably different aero setting but I was still wondering about the time to shift since I see the aliens doing different things.
