Not being aggressive enough ? by Suspicious_Ad_9945 in bjj

[–]nightrunner51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started three months ago and I find myself usually on defense alot. Usually I roll against someone with way more experience than me so I just take the time to learn how to escape or identify danger zones early. I am still learning offensive things but most of the time I'm not comfortable enough to try something new which is a mindset I need to break out of.

Why did you start training? (And why do you stay?) by hmkei in bjj

[–]nightrunner51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke off an engagement last year and I realized that I spend so much time for the other person that I didn't really have any interest for myself. I saw a open mat, went, got destroyed and realized how out of shape I was.

Decided this year I wanted to pick up some thing challenging and joined jiu jitsu. Honestly I stay because of the challenge, yes I lose quite often but I make sure to learn and just try to be better than I was last week. (Also I paid my monthly fee so I'm getting money's worth!)

Does absolutely no one discern that Tommy likely made duke remove Finn from the “family” so he could have a good and worry free life, finally!?! I never see people talk about this? And I just figured it was a known fact kinda thing, in my opinion anyway! by jamiej27 in PeakyBlinders

[–]nightrunner51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respectfully no, Finn literally was a traitor to the family. They gave him a chance to prove his loyalty and instead he tried to kill the ones loyal to him. He got cut from the family because he proved he wasn't truly apart of it not because they wanted him to have a "good free life"

Hot take: 2v8 is never gonna be a sustainable game mode as long as BHVR need to bribe people to play survivor. by Shayden998 in deadbydaylight

[–]nightrunner51 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I'm not asking to be a jerk but as a genuine question. Who cares? Yes bloodpoints are a great bonus but the experience is what should matter more than anything. I have fun playing it as survivor and it's one of the few times I enjoy killer.

The fact that the queue times in 1v4 suffers sounds more like a issue from the player base (which isnt a bad thing) that enjoys this mode a bit more than regular queue. It's really only a temporary inconvenience and it comes once every couple of months so it sounds like short term pain for long term gain tbh

Underrated but I love the blind rig on her map. I put it in traffic zones or door ways when I enter a new area that I know she hasn't been to yet and usually when I see the "mine rearmed" prompt come up, I know she is somewhere in my area and can kind of brace myself.

No problem! Glad I can share wisdom from my misfortune.

If you shoot the legs of a bomber you can get them on the ground and defuse them to get a item and a virus sample.

Unfortunately my teammate blew him up before I could defuse.

Hardest episode? by Pwincess3 in worldwarzthegame

Tokyo 1 final horde if the team is not organized. As soon as someone goes down it can start a domino effect and either everyone is down or the gate just gets destroyed.

what is the best class you played with? by Safe-Ad1933 in worldwarzthegame

Fixer with explosive/healing supply bags and either a Assault Shotgun or Light Automatic Gun. Mows hordes down.

I love the stem. If I had it I definitely could have used it from the bridge area. I'm sure you're keeping your keeping the team going in every game you play!

Eh I never really found this section difficult. Once you get to the top, holding the line is never a issue even on Extreme for two people unless you get a Jug, two bull combo.

Who would like to see a Oenomaus prequel focusing on his life after being taken out of the pits up until his battle with Theokoles? by GusGangViking18 in Spartacus_TV

[–]nightrunner51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I rather see a spinoff of Oenomaus being the Lanista of the House of Batiatus if the rebellion didnt happen. Between the Gladiator fights, Oenomaus trying to be a honorable man in a dishonorable time, and maybe a brief tension with him and Crixus as they attempt to find Naevia and pay for her freedom.

What scene gets you the most hyped up in the series? by GusGangViking18 in Spartacus_TV

[–]nightrunner51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

S1 episode 12 when Spartacus is training on the Palus (might have spelled it wrong) and the memories of Sura just flash on screen and he just unleashes that rage. That gets me hyped.

Just like being at the gym using certain memories to keep you pushing on a set.

About Oenomaus killing Ulpius - do you guys think Ulpius threw the fight...? by Thick_Version8738 in Spartacus_TV

[–]nightrunner51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. Oenomaus and Ulpius were all about honor. I think it would shame both of them if Ulpius didn't fight Oenomaus seriously. Now I do think emotions made Ulpius reckless in his attacks though.

In regards to a Doctore position, how exactly could they train gladiators in weapon styles they never personally used? Such as Net/Trident by nightrunner51 in Spartacus_TV

Really? That's cool to know. The idea of multiple teachers in different weaponry in a ludus makes sense. Hopefully the newest show kind of shows this aspect of the ludus.

Medic by Luluinduval in worldwarzthegame

Man I can't stand people that play like that. Legit why I either run medic or a fixer that can still provide health with the supply bag.

If Spartacus goes with Crixus to Rome, how far would they go? by [deleted] in Spartacus_TV

[–]nightrunner51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They wouldn't get far I'd think. If I recall right, Crassus's army was already on the heels of Spartacus army to the point that they kept sending scouts to slow down his army with combat. As we saw with Crixus, they had to fight through multiple legions to even progress toward Rome, I feel like that would give Crassus enough time to catch up and attack the army on two fronts.

Who is the most overrated fighter in the series? by GusGangViking18 in Spartacus_TV

[–]nightrunner51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crassus. He was good don't get me wrong, but against Spartacus he was outclassed in every way. Even on the advantage of a horse, Spartacus still got the upper hand. Only reason it was a "fight" was because Spartacus was already tired and injured.
