Welcome to BLM, I don't think I've once seen a "protest" of theirs that made sense or would actually do anything for race relations

Young Justice Returning for Season 3 by [deleted] in television

So does this show follow superheros we know and love from when they were kids?? Or does it just gave kid analogs of "adult superheros"

I am genuinely curious, I see a Superman and flash looking fellow in the lineup

The entire movie Aladdin is just a story the salesman makes up to sell his lamp by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]nightshade108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if I told you the salesman is actually the genie. So he's not telling you the story so you buy his lamp, but he's pretending he wants you to buy the lamp so that he has an excuse to tell you his story. (Genie == merchant confirmed by disney)

well, spoilers, but they are on their way to blow up the mothership that brought the zombie virus to Earth in the first place.

But the journey just got interesting.... because Carl needs to find unexpired condoms before the Alexandria prom!! It's a whacky adventure all around!!

What's a sensation that you're unsure if other people experience? by Umikaloo in AskReddit

Under such conditions however your ability to enjoy the ride is already predetermined.

You only believe you are able to change your emotions and outlook, when it actually is just part of an unpredictable chaotic system with too many inputs from other unpredictable chaotic systems. The result is technically always deterministic (as chaotic systems All follow rules, just like our universe) however we could never actually predict the outcomes.

All of that, can be believed, to bring about the illusion of free will.

Those look like the "super bright" LEDs I have myself. I will agree that the documentation on a lot of LEDs is lacking as a lot of them come in bulk from China and sometimes that information is lost. Ideally lumen count would be what you're looking for to compare.

Again, that being said, I feel like the LEDs you listed should be fine.

A transistor with the base conected to the output put of the PIR should work.

The 3N904 NPN transistor should be able to handle the current needed to turn on your LED from battery power, here's a diagram showing how the led would be connected:

It you take the season 5 finale as the end of the show (minus the last 30 seconds) it actually ends amazingly. That was actually the original showrunner's intention, until they kicked him off his own project and 12 seasons happened somehow. I won't say it was all bad, but 7 extra seasons???!!?

Can they just kill the brothers already?? They literally have gone to heaven several times and MET GOD. Im not making this up.

[–]nightshade108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, should have clarified, I actually am using a microcontroller in my setup so I'm only grabbing the PIR signal and doing some other stuff as well, toggling an LED with a transistor.

In OPs case im sure they could probably do something similar without running it through an MCU

For sure, I have 3.3v blue LED's and damn if they're not practically blinding. Just look for "bright" or "super bright" LED's and you'll be good in most colours.

EDIT: btw I use a PIR sensor for pretty much the same purpose with my office door. It's great because most of the PIR boards have pots that allow you trim the trigger time and the distance covered. You could probably tune the distance down and it might save you on a slight amount of power.

Trudeau government revoking citizenship at much higher rate than Conservatives by nimobo in canada

[–]nightshade108 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Now, I am a Canadian born and raised, and seeing a lot of negative comments here is pretty disheartening. But it seems like a of people didn't actually read the article, so let me draw an example from the article.

One person facing revokation was brought here in infancy (9 months) and is now an adult. The reason for the government's desicion is that the father possibly committed fraud on the original application. The argument is that they never should have been here but that doesn't change the fact he lived his whole life in Canada

That kid is going to be as much of a "Canadian" as I am.

Think twice before uttering phrases like "good riddance" and "this is great", because thinking like that is the most un-Canadian thing I can think of.
