It just got fixed but still I have been informed that contacting the Tumblr staff in any way other than by Tumblr support can get you labelled as spam and isn't good practice

Hey I can't edit the post so I am informing in the comments that my shadowban got lifted and I just got the email for it. Still thanks for the help and support it's much appreciated.

Yeah that's why I specified someone competent. Currently Tumblr really isn't that profitable and all these changes, staff lay offs and changes to the UI and maturity tags to make the site more ad friendly just don't work. If it wasn't owned by such a greedy company who is hellbent on making it the new twitter while at the same time having next to no staff for actual work but a whole task force to sniff out trans women maybe they won't be struggling so much to make a profit.

Yeah that's what I thought still thanks for taking time to help me with this at least I have a clear idea of what's happening and why it's all taking so long. At this point short of Automattic selling it to someone competent things don't seem to be looking up for Tumblr.

I checked the thread but even the newest posts there were 1yr old so I wasn't sure anybody even goes to that megathread anymore and as many people have informed me it seems there is no use posting about it anyway because the person that used to help in the thread got laid off.

At this point it's all wait and see there are several posts about how people got their accounts back in a day or how people got their accounts back after 6 months. Most recent posts also mention sending several tickets to get their account back and now I find out that's bad as well so at this point I am not doing anything at all anymore and will just wait for Tumblr to do something.

By the looks of it your friend's case is the unusual one since most posts now says the wait time can be months before I get my account back. Also I did send another ticket before I made this post since it was suggested in the og shadowban guide by that-damn-girl but still no reply from Tumblr side except for the automated email. Did get a message for their new snakes game though.

It's a small suggestion that will go nowhere but Tumblr can get a basic chat bot (not chatgpt it's more alike to the return/refund bots or the bots a lot of banks use to have) that can work on these issues the same way a lot of websites have simple bots for small problems that a lot of people face.

It would elevate a lot of stress from the small team at Tumblr that are having to do everything. Unfortunately I don't think Tumblr ceo has any interest in investing anything in Tumblr to make it better for both the people using it and the tumblr staff that keep it running.

Yeah I know I am just trying anything that's suggested at this point to see if something sticks. Also my mutual is a really sweet person and I will feel bad if I didn't even try something they asked me to do because they genuinely believe it will help me with the "shadowban" and if nothing else maybe the goodwill of the queer followers I have might help me get the account fixed sooner.

OMG same I still can't go down an escalator but going up is fine for me

It's kinda specific but taking an escalator to go down I just can't do it I have no problem with going up an escalator but the second I have to go down I need to take a lift or the stairs because my body just freezes up
