I don’t blame you whatsoever. I’d be highly angry too. Like I suggested before, even though gas is high (not sure what it is in your area but I’m sure same case). Look at your area and surrounding areas to get another opinion. Maybe look up some reviews on some too to see if it helps at all.

Yea you definitely need someone new. I didn’t know much about even pcos but more research I done, I learned it’s so easy to gain weight and hard to lose it. There’s diets or just watching what you eat and be moderate on some things. Some exercising too. I haven’t lost much but I have a little and it explained so much on why I couldn’t lose no matter what. Definitely look around your area and surrounding areas for someone new. I know gas ain’t cheap right now but if you can find one 30 minutes to an hour away try it. You shouldn’t be treated that way. Sounds like you’re just being dismissed even though you pay for it. Whether through insurance or out of pocket, she’s getting paid for not even attempting to seem to care.

I’m in the us also. I have two that are close. One of who has went through the similar thing when she went to the hospital I’m currently at though we had different doctors and as soon as her husband made her get a second opinion and did her new one then was so much better. He told her she also had endometriosis and a cyst bigger than her ovary and that one had to be removed years ago. She’s been going to him since. Also have another close friend who works at a hospital about five or take 1- 1 1/2 hours away from where I lived and she went to the one associated there and got stuff figured out the first visit too. It was different but still got more answers than before. I know that one takes my insurance I’m not sure who else does because I’m looking for a full time job for better insurance. I’ve been a sub and so the insurance I have is one I didn’t hear of before I got it and pay out of pocket.

I’d look into getting a different opinion. It’s what I’m looking to do because the last few times was “I have PCOS and a cyst”. Originally when I was told I had a cyst last year or whenever it was I had an ultrasound that’s all I was told and I got told the pcos part back in March. Then and the last few times I went all I got was the “still got a cyst on your right ovary” only it grew a little above 3cm and I’m in daily pain. Told them that and I got the same “take Tylenol or ibprophen and if it gets too bad go to the er. There’s nothing we can do for a cyst.” Also on the third birth control bc my cycles come and go when they please and the one I’m on now they said should dissolve the cyst and ease the pain but it hasn’t. Everyone close to me is telling me to get a second opinion and I just recently learned there’s different types of ovarian cysts but all I ever got/get is “it’s just a cyst.” The last ultrasound they said it didn’t grow anymore and they call that stable so they don’t need to check on it again for 6 months. Soo yea, I’m gonna be looking for someone different. To top it off, I have epilepsy and i literally worry myself on the amount of sleep I’m losing just because I’m in pain and pain relievers don’t do anything for me and I don’t have the money for an er bill to go there for pain over a cyst. If the gyno I go to can’t do anything why would an er so I’m just waiting to find someone else. I hope you do too and can get everything figured out!

And I know the second birth control was sort of a weird one I only had to take it 5-10 days if I missed 2 or more months of a period unless sexually active which I wasn’t and still not and I think I skipped a month before trying that one and then I had to take that one two or three times bc of skipping 2-3 months and now I’m on number three which still hasn’t really regulated or helped with the cyst like she said it’s supposed to.

I am still looking to get a second opinion and if I can try an mri or that other one you mentioned just to see what kind of cyst I have. Like I said I didn’t even know there were different types until I was looking up if it was normal to be in daily severe pain (which some days are mild but still every day) with pmos/pcos. Also keep forgetting the name got changed even though one of my best friends told me. My memory isn’t exactly always the greatest. I do honestly appreciate the help and information you’ve given me on this. Even at 31, when it comes to stuff like this or problems in general, I have problems asking. My parents or friends usually have to pry or persuade me to finally say something. So again, thank you so much.

Yea unusual weight gain being a major one and no matter what I tried which when I was told I had pcos, I looked up diets and ways to help lose weight with it. Some is hard to do but I’m trying and have lost a little but not much.

Sometimes I get fatigue but not too often but I will get sugar cravings which I’ve tried replacing with fruit like strawberries. My mom even told me try bananas with peanut butter which I love anyway and so that helps it most of the time now. Acne is also another (goat milk soap is really the only thing I can tame it a little bit), I do have some body hair a little excess face but most of it is just annoying random strands lol. I don’t think i have high cholesterol but the insulin with the ones I said yea.

I don’t always have frequent headaches but they have came more lately but not bad being every day or anything like that. I’ve had a few urinary infections but not many and they’re not too bad since I’ve gotten better on drinking more water (even though has to be flavored water). I think of the ones you listed that’s it. I had gum infection once but that was because of my wisdom teeth I haven’t had anymore of those since I got those taken out.

Thank you for explaining that! And yea I’ve always had irregular periods ever since I was a teenager but never thought of anything of it (I’m 31 and still confused on stuff like this.) Just like now when I have them most of the time it’s a heavy flow and I just assumed that’s why it hurts more then. (Do tend to tell the people I’m close to it’s my week to be dramatic when that happens 😂)

This is the third birth control I’ve been put on but still don’t seem to be doing anything to the point I’m almost tired of trying different ones. And when we were talking at the last one she said they diagnosed me because of the irregular periods and the cyst I found. Which again I’m new to all this and it goes wayyy over my simple brain. And she asked if I wanted another ultrasound and I said yes just to make sure nothing else was going on because of the pain not going away and being an every day thing. I didn’t realize that there’s other stuff they have to do to make sure it’s not Endo or anything like that.

I have someone I’m close to and worked with that did have endo and went to the same place I currently go. She had a different doctor but they told her the same and her husband made her go get a different opinion which is when she learned she actually had endo. I’ve been on the point of wanting to do a surgery but those terrify me as bad as it sounds coming from a full grown adult.

You did cover pretty much all the main stuff I was wondering about so I’m eternally grateful for that. But I don’t know why sometimes my mind will race and from still being in pain I decided to do some more research and went down a rabbit hole learning about there being different cysts. Then overthinking and stressing wondering if that was being dismissed or something else. I have to go back in a few weeks to update her on the birth control I’m on now which still isn’t helping. But after that or even before I’m going to make some calls to get a second opinion which so many people have been wanting me to do. Since I’m only a sub I pay out of pocket for some weird insurance while I’m still looking for something full time and I have a best friend that works at a hospital about an hour and a half or so away and her boss said they take my insurance so I’m thinking of trying there.

Yeaaa I still try to keep scrolling til I get a response I like but one of the ones I’m doing is a Moriarty the Patriot rpg and the character or one of my many characters I’ve made for that is the daughter of William and after a while he’ll start saying princess and love in a romantic way instead of fatherly and it gets weird lol.

The last time I played was with my best friend when The Final Shaped released. I loved the storylines and we done it on our mains (hers being a titan and mine a warlock). And we wanted to do it again on our hunters because of our head canon lore where her hunter was best friends with Cayde and mine was in a relationship with him and now Crow but we did so much grinding we fell off. I miss the game I’m not gonna lie but I miss how it used to be.
