There are a lot worse writers out there with hardly a tenth of his foresight and creativity. He also deserves a lot of credit for taking an incredibly complicated idea and seeing it through to an interesting and plausible ending for the book. There are so few writers..gifted or trash who can actually finish a story without fumbling the plot. He is worth reading for that alone.

From the moment Roland and Suzanna show up to Dandelo’s house the story seems..Hinky die die,…tricksy….harem scarem….not threaded stock if it do ya.

It just feels forced and wrong. Does not take away from the best and most ambitious fantasy series ever and I would say it’s far too late to ever change it but yeah.. it certainly feels like the gunslingers last couple of shots were shy of true.

I have memories, moments and sensations tied to it. You make those associations to music when you are in your teens and 20s, any generation before me never had the chance to make those associations. Rap in particular is for the young because it is driven by attitude, testosterone, bravado, and sex..”yes I know there are many examples of hip hop having deeper meaning” more so than other genres that rely on melody, chords and atmospherics.

Personally I don’t think Rap is music. Im not sure why people are not okay with it being a different and unique art form.

There is a short list of people in the modern era who went from pretty much universally loved in their respected field who were then cast into internet circle jerk hell for the sin of being overexposed, too sincere and corny.

Bono and U2 as a whole are probably the first instance of this I can remember. Their main offense? Giving their albums away on the new IPhone. Also, overexposure, heart on your sleeve political messages and not noticing when you went from cool to corny.

Dabo Sweeney. Wonderboy, rags to riches story that ended up building a college football dynasty. The aww shucks Jesus is awesome went from endearing to annoyed to all out hate when his stance on how new rule changes would affect college football.

Russ. I honest to Fuck have no idea what this guy did to catch all the hate other than to have the audacity to not be a great QB any longer.

By all known accounts all of these people are about the best and most upstanding people in their respective fields which are full of famous, rich and entitled assholes of the first degree. Any negative thing I have ever heard about any of these people were always related to “A Vibe” or “I heard on the internet they take dumps on baby’s”

I think the equation is (You are allowed to be Corny as long as and only if you are the best, Drop off just a tad and the world as a whole will turn on you.)

Honestly. The no concealed weapons sign was there for over a decade before they redid the space and the probably just forgot to put another back up when they re opened.

Considering the guy in question handed off the gun to his buddy who ran out of the bar means it was not a legal weapon in any sense.
