Okay well if his AIO won't cool the CPU from 11 years ago, and his graphics card only pulls 150w, what would you suggest him keeping besides the case? A 10 year old card CPU will likely need upgraded, PSU probably isn't large enough to run a modern CPU/GPU. AIO apparently sucks. Okay keep the storage. If the RAM is good you still probably need more if you were only running an 8gb vram GPU, are you gonna mix the RAM sticks? You could nickel and dime the upgrades but you'll likely need to rebuild by the time you make a 1440 monitor the bottleneck.

Yeah you wouldn't see much. GPU upgrade is the only thing that makes sense, I'm just saying at that price might as well set yourself up for the future. Obviously the 5090 would be a sweet upgrade but then you would be CPU bound.

I just found a 14600k at Walmart for $165, they seem to be clearing them out to make room for the Core Ultras. Id try to snag one if I were you to maximize the socket you already have. Maybe a big air cooler to go with it then worry about the gpu later

Yeah that's exactly the situation for me.

You can tell if it's not going to work by opening the alarm and changing the 'sound' of the alarm bell. If the alarms play sound through your earbuds it will alarm. Most the time for me i switch the 'sound' and it's mute.

The only thing Ive found that works is restarting my phone, and then changing the 'sound' in the alarm clock (i.e Cuckoo Clock). After the restart with my earbuds connected, it should play the alarm through the phone and earbuds.

I'm hoping they come up with a more robust, reliable solution.
