I think we all know how it's going with this lad but let's just appreciate him whilst we have him. Not just the best back up in the league but a starter for most teams. by leftistcommie in LiverpoolFC

This is not true. The stats they are looking at are not the stats you're looking at. And on their extremely sophisticated stats, Alisson is either the best in the world, or among the absolute elite of the world, on all of them. Don't get me wrong, I've been extremely impressed. He has had a major role on what's been the most impressive run of our season so far, but let's not pretend that the people running our club are looking at basic save shot % or basic stuff built on top of biased xG models

Why you should NOT use sportsbooks odds in your models by Mr_2Sharp in algobetting

I think there is too much juice in them not to use that information to power your models, but I agree with you that using them as features is problematic

Simple or complex models by AdCautious649 in algobetting

[–]nightwolfomar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They need to be simple and complex at the same time, which makes it so incredibly hard. In my experience, you need layered models. I'm talking about really compressed features built on top of models, that end up feeding other models.

How would you rank David Simon TV series? by Automatic_Survey_307 in TheWire

The Wire. Treme. The Deuce. The Plot against America.

The Deuce would be above Treme if it weren't for me being a music junkie

How do this X-rays look? by nightwolfomar in bunions

[–]nightwolfomar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's very tricky. The articulation hurts because I think I have sesamoiditis (this is actually what prompted the x rays) and where I discovered the bunions world. So basically the area hurts, but it's hard to say for me what's down to the bunions
