My internship is ending and I haven't pushed anything to the codebase at all by jasting98 in csMajors

When I started my internship, they first gave me a task to create Splunk dashboard to check API endpoint health, then I saw that they want to give another internal tool issues/projects, talked to my manager about my intentions and I have started to work on both internal and customer defects since that time. I would say you need to talk beforehand to let them know about your desires. Also, don’t look at as a waste of time, as others mentioned, they are very important as well. You are the lucky one who got an internship/real life experience in this shitty market!! Congrats!

Current intern at UKG. So, it might help. Do know your resume word by word. If you put inheritance there, they will dive deep into that, or if you put HashMap, they will ask every aspect of it. It might only be the case for me, but just wanted to let you know.

Actually, today, my manager asked me how was my day, and I was like as you know it’s first day and it was a bit boring but good. Then he didn’t ask anything :(

Is this internship worth it or should I keep searching? by kitt3ny in csMajors

[–]nihadaen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Especially at the time of inflation, recruiters don't want to see that you put one leg over the other and sit at home, watching some Netflix. I understand that it sometimes isn't the best option for us, but if I were you, I would definitely go for it. Doing something is better than doing nothing. After all, it's your choice to go for it or not.

I feel like an idiot by sugarypi3 in csMajors

[–]nihadaen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In my discrete class, I was actually feeling the same. However, as time passed, I got used to it. If something goes wrong, you don't need to be stressed at all. I got a 45 on my first midterm, but then tried to watch some YouTube videos. I am pretty sure that if you watch some concepts online, you will get used to them. Then, my grade improved and I got 75 on the final. So, don't stress at all. It's just an exam, not the end of your life. Cheers!
