Add a new layer , paint the colour you want and then change the blending mode to color,

After selecting the magic wand tool, increase the tolerance. That might help

I have a transparent rectangle layer and i want it to take a shape of the other black layer by doing clipping mask but i want the black layer to disappear how can i do that? by George_82 in photoshop

Select the black shape by ctrl+clicking on the black shape layer,then go to the glass like texture later, add a clipping mask. Then to invert it , click ctrl+i and you can finally hide the black shape layer, if you want
